The problem with sacking Malky

Fri Dec 27, 2013 2:12 pm

I made no secret that I was never a big fan of Malky, I am not upset to see the back of him and his hoofball, sacking him was fine by me. However can we trust Tan to bring in a competent manager? Because I can't, be careful what you wish for because in Malky we had someone who knew what he was doing albeit poorly, our next appointment however could easily be a disaster.

its always a gamble...........you can appoint some1 with a brilliant track record who will fail.........or some bloke who has just won 2 in 10 and finished 14th in championship and it be ok............

If Swansea sacked Laudrup or Everton sacked Martinez the fans would have no worries about who the next manager will be as both their chairmans no football inside out and always seem to hire the right man. Tan will appoint a yes man, one sniff of a trouble maker and he won't appoint them.

People on here think we are going to have some sort of maverick of a manager next and someone who sticks it to Tan, do these people realise Tan owns our club and will keep sacking anyone who challenges his authority.

I don't know because I don't know him personally.

So how can you say any manager appointed will be a yes man? Unless you know top managers personally of course

Because Tan is the one hiring the new manager? You really think he's going to hire a troublemaker and someone who is going to be rock the boat? FFS absolutely deluded, do you realise one of the reasons Malky was sacked was because he was mouthing off to the press and he and Tan had an awful off field relationship?

Like I said, Solskjaer is going to be the next manager, I don't know him personally but I he doesn't seem like he would be a yes man to me. He achieved a lot more than old malks ever achieved and will have more respect of tan for this

Didn't Tan appoint the manager who took us to the Premiership ?

the difference with swansea...is huw looks for the next manager to have same or similar football values as last,, therefore its tweaking the squad not pulling it apart, there is no one out there nearly as defensively minded as Malky, this really is rip it up start again..

100% right and he wanted Shearer because he's a big name and not a good manager. I reckon he will hire a great player from the 90s who is a big name but has no managerial pedigree.
