Yesterday was quite enjoyable as....................

Fri Dec 27, 2013 8:14 am

It proved the players are affected by what's going on, it proves we're not playing our strongest team, it proves the clubs in turmoil and the most enjoyable part was leaving at half-time and going back to the pub!

So roll on tomorrow for another day of wondering what will happen next. :old:

ps if Dave Jones comes back I've a season ticket for sale!! :D

It cant effect the players because whenever anyone mentioned that possibility about BU marches and protests we were told it was a load of bollox

Yes but all the blinkers and headgear are coming off the horses now, light is shining through and even the most hardy souls are seeing the damage to the club the whole sorry episode is having.

Everyone has their own ideas of how to shout and scream about it, marching isn't for me (well unless walking back to the pub works - and there is something quite satifying in getting a decent pint and bite to eat from the crap dished up in the stadium!) but what made me laugh is that I believe the club made more money yesterday by the march, selling more programmes and food/beer before kick-off than ever before!!!

Maybe the marketing team should think this through :D

The players are behind BU so no it does not effect them when it comes to their marches.

The players are not behind Tan. Ever though since Newcastle and the bonus payments we have struggled? Worth a thought that.

The turmoil is Tan.

The way he has gone into the business and upset his staff and his customers is a disaster to see it close it doors. In this case colsed doors is relegation and small crowds.

We can blame the players for yesterdays lost. We can blame the manager for the squad but the buck stops with the big knob and it is becoming very clear we have one.

Players are inherently selfish individuals who realise that during the course of their careers they are going to be involved with clubs who go through periods of turmoil.

To say that they are being affected by what's happening at the club is giving the players a ready made excuse for when things go wrong on the pitch.

As long as they are getting paid, most of them couldn't give a shit and to think that any of them really care about what's going on behind the scenes or what colour shirt they play in is naive.

No excuses for yesterday or tha Palace match. The players and the manager were desperately poor and looked completely out of their depth, irrespective of what's happening off the field.

As I was saying it seems to have all started with the Newcastle game when the bonuses and entering the players dressing room scenario happened.

You're right, it did seem to start when the argument about bonuses and entering the dressing room became known.

But surely the players should be professional enough to put all that to one side when they cross the white line? Perhaps we as fans should feel we are being let down by the players?

Surely their ONLY concern should be to give 100% every single time that they pull on the shirt ( whatever the colour!), a job for which they getting rewarded far beyond the dreams of most of us, irrespective of any "bonuses" to which they feel they may be entitled?

Unfortunately if you give people any opportunity for an excuse to justify their behaviour they will more often than not take it.

I disagree as if that were the case what would be the point in having supporters at a game? Atmosphere is bound to rub off and it told yesterday.

Its the nature of the beast.

I've had well paid jobs but when the big bosses demand more its only natural to be negative. Like it or not that is the way it is and as much as it is hard to take piss your staff off and they will not respond.
