Rather be blue in Division 2 makes no sense

Fri Dec 27, 2013 12:06 am

Of all the chants at the protest, this makes the least sense.

If you genuinely believed this, why did you not sing this last season?

We suffered a season in red, with the knowledge that this sacrifice might ensure Premier league football.

You cannot now say you would rather be blue in a lower league.

Yes I can because I did say that.

Going on what I am seeing now I will stick to it as well.

Don't remember it being sang last season. You're making it worse for yourself.

Didn't say I sang it but I said it a few times. How am I making it worse for myself?

there are some that remember the good times back then, but they were not all good, Ninian was often a very sad place to be, a big old ground that had seen much better days now graced by a poor team and 3000 fans....and of course there are some that say it to suck up because they were never there.

i dont doubt you mean what you say at the moment..but the reality is only 10% to 15% of our current fans would.. ;ossing to Southampton today was shit..losing 5 f*cking 1 at home to Maidstone on a boxing day was worse.
we are becoming a big club. the blue will come back, myself,i hope those league 2 days never come back, for every good day there were 10 bad ones.

Identity and pride means more to me than success.

I think you're all missing my point. I'm obviously perfectly well aware that some people might have quietly said to themselves last season that they would rather be blue in a lower league.

My point is, there was no big protest venting this feeling. If you genuinely felt this, to the extent that you actually would prefer this to happen, and so it was worth protesting about, why didn't you do this last season?

It makes no logical sense to stay quiet (in a relative sense), wait and see if we get to the Premiership, and then say, once we're there, that you'd rather be blue in a lower league.

Some did protest & do something about it, thanks. :thumbright:

A lot, probably the majority endured the red to get to the promised land. Now we are there I am finding its not that great. Cannon fodder for the big boys, dodgy ref decisions and difficulty to get expensive away tickets...

For me its "back to blue or I will not renew"

Had my season, told my nippers this yesterday, I don't care what division we are in or who we have signed.

This won't change if we go back to blue though. Of course there are pros and cons with being in the Premiership. There are pros and cons with being in any league. There are pros and cons about anything!

I just thought in general, the protest slightly lacked a clear goal. We would all like to return to blue, that's obvious, but it can't be changed mid-season anyway. I think if the club had any sense, they would sit down and think seriously about returning to blue next season. An announcement with regard to this prior to this season's end would be well received, and whether it could be considered cynical or not, if they let people know before season tickets went on sale, definitely, this could have a positive effect on sales, whatever league we are looking at being in.

We want to keep Malky. Well, ok, he got us up. Maybe give him a season on that basis alone. He's a great guy with a good rapport with fans. But the playing style definitely needs altering. We've conceded 6 goals in the last 2 games, and scored 2 in the last 6. That's pretty poor, and the football at times has looked woeful. This needs to be looked at. Especially if you're a non season ticket holder paying £30 for a ticket, or for away fans, you expect a reasonable standard of football, some kind of value for money, which personally, I don't think the players have been offering.

So the only other point of the protest was that we want Tan out. Is this really going to be good for the club in the long term? I just don't know, but anyway, it wasn't sufficiently clear that this was the point of the protest.

We will be red in league if this shambles continues.

I said it from the start and ill say it now id rather be blue in division 2 .

Having my club and its real identity is far far more important than sucsess shame a lot of people want the sucsess even if it costs the true identity of ccfc .

if you are a true fan of ccfc the club and what it stands for should be more important than anything else.
