Steven Caulker

What are your thoughts on him?
I'm not 100% convinced at the moment.
For me he gets caught out of position, caught out ball watching, he's not aggressive enough, also his distribution isn't great.
Maybe he'll prove me wrong but up o ow he's been Average..

Wasn't great today. That said, I feel he's starting to try and cover for other people's poor positioning, and as such he's getting caught wrong footed himself. Needs a calmer influence beside him - give Huds a shout.

Something needs to be done, can't keep giving teams 3 goal leads.

Bring hudson back in bench turner. He's got to start rotating and resting players anyway. Alot of the players looked burnt out today.

Started the season brilliantly, gone off the boil now though. People never criticise him for his long balls but rip the f**k into Turner

Because that's all Turner ever does to no one at least caulker can play balls to feet. You need footballers on this league to keep possession of the ball not donkeys. Age he's a good solid defender but he's not prem league quality.

Caulker is not the problem, it's turner! He's f*cking shocking...... I still can't understand how our player of the season last yr is on the bench....

If the full back can't stop the ball coming in the box then the centre half needs to deal with it... Turner missed every ball coming in from the same side. Was beaten to every ball, gave it away cheaply and just smashed into nowhere when in possession.

If u look at Soton defence yesterday when noone or whitts did deliver the ball the centre backs dealt with it every time....

We also can't play 442 with whitts in the team... Our left side was so slow in the first half with Taylor getting hammered every time and now winger doubling up to help him...

you're right troobloo, but how can you have a go at others for slating Gestede, when you're quite happy to do it about another player?

I was saying how it is regarding Gestede too, you massive hypocrite.

C'mon lads let's not go over the top here. Caulker has been superb for us all season and a couple of blips when the team as whole are shot of confidence doesn't change him into a bad player overnight.
If you look at some of our superb defensive performances this season, Caulker and Medel have been the main reasons for them.
