It would kill you if he come back, flowing football, attacking formation but if we went 1-0 down I would leave the ground then back to the pub

its about time we have a big name manager at this club. past or present

When you think of the money Tan has and the managers we may be able to tempt (Solkjaer, Hoddle, Favre, Di Matteo, Ralph Rangwick) the fact that Dave Jones' name is even being thought about is fecking ridiculous. I can't believe anyone would consider bringing him back with the disdain he has held our club and fanbase during his stint here!
If Tan does bring Jones back (in any capacity) I will then be going down the bookies to ask for odds that Vincent Tan is really Jeremy Beadle!!

I thought it was a joke to gringo when I was told he had a hand shake agreement but it wasn't, although I prefered dj football to malkys I must admit

People in this part of the world, these people don't know anything about derbies I've played in Merseyside derbies etc etc. Add to that he only had scouts in Scotland and other bought players who previously played for him, a trait he again revealed in his recent successful spell at Sheffield! And the fact that he spends most of his time on the f*cking golf course! I would seriously consider calling it a day if this that returned

Bloody hope not but one things for sure if he starts talking in the press and giving positives which he never does you can bet there's something in it

Hate to say it but I'd actually have him back as interim manager until the end of the season he'd get us playing football that's for sure rather have a go and go down than go down grinding games out with just one shot on target one chance isn't enough for our team

No never come back. All comebacks are disasters. Get Glen Goddle in.

Some good points but I will say it broke my heart seeing Paulo Sousa running on the pitch after they scored against us when he'd only been in charge a few months while our manager, who should have a little bit of affinity having been in charge for 6 years just continually playing the game down and pouring scorn on anyone who dared get excited about it. Cardiff vs Swansea may be a bigger derby than Wrexham vs Chester but that doesn't mean that those games mean any less to Wrexham fans than our games do to us.

Dave Jones had no concern for the future of the club and his last couple of years were evidence of this. He let the academy dwindle to the point where we were bringing no talent through.

I went to watch them train quite a few times towards the end of his tenure and I thought it was incredible. I'll never forget seeing Ross Mcormack, Whitts and a few others taking 60 metre rugby conversions the day before our game during training. I'll also never forget Alex Armstrong embarrassing training sessions. I remember watching doing fitness work with Koumas and just shouting "match situation koumey" while doing drills that more resembled a women's institute power walk!

I also believe it's easy to look back on Dave Jones' time with rose tinted glasses like we do Eddie May. People go on about the exciting football we used to play under him but this is a myth in my opinion. We essentially played by-passing the midfield and looking to Jay Bothroyd to do something with the ball. If you remember, when Bothroyd was missing we were absolute garbage. Without going as far as saying we were a one man team, we were certainly inept when Bothroyd didn't play. Remember the play off final when he went off?!

Finally I will point you to the loan signings of JET, Samuel and Bywater. Three worse signings you couldn't wish to find and they were ultimately the cause of our end of season downfall.

When Dave Jones came in he was certainly a step up from the last few managers we had but his arrogance and lack of long term planning for the club exposed him ultimately.

I dont want another malky where everyone loves him more than the club or a manager who waves to fans every five minutes to keep them onside despite results. I want a manager who can manage and excite me playing his style of football because of late ive seen better sunday league games from teams than us :D
