Another totally inept and negative display again today against a team who havn't won in 6 games, ok, maybe the off field happenings have had an effect on the team but you cannot use that as an excuse for that shambolic display. I hate to say it but maybe a change of manager may not be a bad thing as long it's the right man.
I think many feel the same way. Look at last season, we had by far the biggest budget and our brand of football was similar to this season, difference being we just about got way with it last season, although we didn't win a game in the last 5 or so matches. We are not an attacking team under Mackay's management. We lack cohesion as a unit going forward and poor old Frazier is trying to feed on bread crumbs. I know he's a favourite with many, but Whittingham is overrated in my opinion. The only players who've stepped up from our championship squad are Marshall, Mutch, Frazier and quite possibly Kim.
I don't think Malky will keep us up if I'm being honest, I think his tactics are too defensively rigid and the team lack any vision. Also the rest of the PL now know how to play against us and they know we are only a threat from set pieces.
Glen Hoddle is available!!!
