Moyes has had a handful of approaches for out-of-favour winger Zaha and he is currently favouring sending him to Wales.
Zaha would play regularly for the Bluebirds - a factor Moyes insists on from his next club - and they also have a vacancy for him.
Newcastle, Stoke, old club Crystal Palace and managerless West Brom are also keen on Zaha who has yet to start in the Premier since he signed.
But Moyes is keen on the Cardiff move although he will not commit to the deal until he sees what happens with Mackay.
If the Scot is sacked Zaha wil go elsewhere as Moyes does not want the disruption at this stage of the player’s career.

If Malky went and we gave Solskjaer the job we could have Zaha, Hernandez and a shed load of other UTD loan players, as Solskjaer is a favourite of the guy who is still UTDs number one decision maker.
