TANS WAITING GAME

Tue Dec 24, 2013 10:14 am

This is my opinion and not actual fact. Tan has an adgenda that doesnt rank with many of the hard core supporters, his ego is too big to back down. Malky will be gone no matter what by the new year and replaced with a has been journey man type manager who will come in on the short term. If this man can avoid relegating us then he will move on too be replaced by a foreign manager who will be a puppett. He is also playing a waiting game on the hull tigers outcome, knowing that if the FA refuse their name change then it will open up a can of worms. The Hull owners will sue the FA because they have introduced many changes themselves over the years. When and not if Hull change their name then Tan will use his trump card too change us to the Dragons. We would then be franchised out to the highest bidder to play our home games anywhere in the world. I know this sounds ludicrous but money talks, just look at the spread of premier leauge games now, gone are the saturday 3pm kick off which was traditional and replaced with anytime games just for tv. Where is the next level of selling the rights of our football clubs going. This is why Tan really has come aboard, not for the love of the game but for the potential long term profit of selling out our traditions and loyalties to the highest bidder. So if my fears are realised then action must speak louder than words, protests are all well and good but they have to be ongoing and unanimous, What would look good on TV, a complete empty stand, if everyone stayed downstairs and didnt return to their seat after half time for ten minutes and sang from the bar area. this could be done at every home game from the canton.
Get behind us now and let our feelings known that we wont be sold down the river without a paddle! :malky:

That is the most honest and probably closest to the truth message I have read unfortunately.
One way or another we have got a massive fight on our hands as fans.
If we let up for one second we will be annihilated by the Mad Malaysian. What we must do is to not miss a chance ,otherwise he will jump on us.We must not forget for a second he was a nasty bugger before all this NOW HE IS BADLY WOUNDED and will get even nastier. Malkey appears have all the help he requires and he is fighting his corner like a pit bull. The biggest mistake now is to listen to the fans that are saying let them talk. Tan doesn't talk, he issues orders which have always been obeyed. Cmon Cardfiff City Supporters lets show him what we are famous for on Boxing day. I am sure he wont turn up to be humiliated again though, but it will tell us a lot when he doesnt show wont it. See you on Thursday Fellas.

Comes over a bit extreme.

Playing home games anywhere is a bit difficult to believe. If this was to happen then would we have a proper football association with particualr areas which is the foundation o fsupporting a football team?

I find this a bit of "Back to the Future" thingy.

"We would then be franchised out to the highest bidder to play our home games anywhere in the world."

From this sentence I get the impression we would one week play in say Spain, the next week London". That seems extreme.

Reading it again is this OP referring to another MK Dons? If so are there not rules in place to stop all this?

Cheers mate that makes sense but what an horrific scenario you paint there. All the more reason to fight our corner whilst we have the high ground.

I agree with a lot of what you say except the part about changing our name to the Dragons before franchising us out. Surely changing the name prior to sale will limit his potential purchasers. There are still a few potential owners who might like the brand name Cardiff City with the history and tradition as it is a strong brand. Tan changing our name prior to sale would be like him selling his house but then deciding to paint it all red instead of a more neutral magnolia.

If we look to the far east, what tan has got involved in. Their new stadium which is similar to ours called the dragons fortress, the building company (tan owned) hs come out and said one day they hope to play premier leauge football in the stadium. Does this not set the alarm bells ringing?

Do you honestly believe that a team like WBA would travel there for they're away match against Cardiff on a Humid Wednesday Night? :laughing6:
