Even though Malky has a stay of execution, is the owner/board purely playing a waiting game until such time Malky's popularity declines and then he will be given the big boot.
At the moment Malky has a solid fan base as demonstrated at Liverpool however if results were to go against us particularly in 'winnable games' then some fans may become restless and once the owner/board see this that might be the time that they think that they could dispose of Malky without the fans backlash.
Is it just a case of a waiting game until the fan base tilts and malky's popularity declines? I certainly hope not and as MM says we could do with 2/3 new faces in the transfer window to try to ensure our survival in the top flight.
As it stands things cannot work out and this could affect our survival hopes. The owner needs to be talking with Malky for the good of the team and the club.
