We are still in the bottom 3

Mon Dec 23, 2013 11:35 am

for goals scored this season with 13 goals. Palace and sunderland have scored 11 and 12 goals.
another interesting stat I read this morning on here we have one away goal in 498 minutes.
We have also spent 12 million on 3 strikers in 2 seasons and none of them have started a game or scored a league goal.

Compare that to what swansea spent on michu and bony and how many goals they got.?

if our defence has injurys or suspensions? or medel and caulker start to get fatigued we are going to feel full wrath.
I love malky but you cant blame tan for being fuc*ed off really.

Its time for malky to show he has what it takes to find goals. Especially away from home.

Good luck to him hes going to need it!

All he needs to do is to play an attacking formation like he did second half v Liverpool more often.

The next two home games will be interesting.

3rd lowest scorers

5th worst defence

Even though he has gone about it all the wrong way I share some of Tan's concerns.

he did try an attacking formation against Norwich away, got it terribly wrong, ended up with our creative players in our own area for the duration of the 1st half, was like Custers last stand..he is much much better at defending tactically than attacking.

Unfortunately you're probably right and its the reason Tan is looking to replace him

Playing player out of their optimum position.

We have a team of central midfilders.

Whitts is not a wide player, Cowie isn't either, nor is Kimbo.

Mutch is not a 10

Gunnar isn't good enough, just a stopper

Odemwhingie is not a wide player, nor is he a lone striker.

I never believed Noone was good enough, but I was wrong, IMO Conway should be back ASAP and included in the premier squad

Cornelius is ready, if not why sell Rudy and let Mason go out on loan

Not a lot of motivational speakers on here at the moment are there. Be positive for a few days FFS.

Defence wise, we do quite well.

On paper we lack a bit of pace but, we've not been caught out on that count. Turner has done well as a stopper at the back. With a good left back, we'd be sorted. This would also help our attacking options instead of having Whitts covering left back when Taylor covers inside.

With our back 4 and Medal and Gunnarson in front of them, we should be able to give Whitts, Noone, and Kimbo more freedom to attack. Who they target to score is then anyone's guess as we've not got a striker who can grab 15 goals.

We're doing well. What we need now is to show we have the playing capability, and managerial/coaching capabilities to mix it up a bit and show we can attack and play football.

If Malky can show he can do this, then we're onto a winner!
