Trust responds to Chairman's statement

Trust statement in response to the comments yesterday of Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman:

Tim Hartley, chair of the Trust, said: “After the turmoil of the last week, the club needs stability and we are pleased that Malky Mackay is toremain as manager of Cardiff City. We also look forward to a dialogue now taking place between Mackay and Vincent Tan.

“Mr Tan should let the manager of the team get on with the job of keeping Cardiff City in the Premier League. I’m sure the strength of feeling shown by fans before and at the Liverpool game sent a clear message to him, as did the outspoken comments of many other managers and commentators throughout the UK.

“What this debacle has illustrated once again is that Mr Tan must engage in regular dialogue with supporter groups and fans generally. We will be making that point strongly when we meet Mr Tan on Saturday before the Sunderland game.

"One way he could build bridges with supporters would be to return the home playing kit to blue at the earliest opportunity.

"This episode highlights once again the need for strong supporter
engagement in football clubs at all levels. Our friends in the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust have an excellent working relationship with the senior management of their club and a supporter director sits on the board. We’d like to see Cardiff City move towards that in the future.

"We urge Cardiff City fans to join the Trust and strengthen further the voice of the fans

I really hope VT goes ahead with his meeting with the trust on December 28th, Be great to get some quotes from VT on his plans for the club directly from trust members and not via the press etc

Tan is already buckling against the pressure of fans, media & other big name managers etc.

Im a member of the trust and I always post trust info on here as its released. That being said I encourage you all to join, strength in numbers via a recognised fans group.

Gav. With respect mate we have strength in numbers mate, we have a good percentage of the EPL managers on our side and the fans there on Saturday seemed to be doing quite well to me. They singlehandedly got 10s of thousand all around the World on our side, The trust have a class act to beat......................Dont waste it.

Yes i didnt go to specsavers sorry, the agenda is tan will not listen to nobody thats just it proven over the last two years odd and proven by certain directors who have even said at such meetings when tan sends them instead of him " He will do as he pleases with or without you"

If Tan doesn't want to talk to / engage with the trust / fans thats his prerogative ! However , he did seem more than willing to engage with the fans after promo @ the CCS as I recall !Milked the adulation to death then yet @ Anfield Saturday he couldn't even look those same fans in the eye !Scuttled away at full-time in the fashion of all bullies ... like a coward tail between his legs !

Theres more than one way to communicate with him & his Malaysian sponsors ! The global audience that is available via Sky Sports was targeted for positive publicity by the Malaysian govt via VISIT MALAYSIA & co ! Already , the negative publicity his unhinged megalomania brings is reaching home !

Ideally , he'll think about his actions to date , he's no footy acumen for sure , but as a successful businessman he's gotta realise his current attitude, isn't gonna yield the returns he & his sponsors initially hoped for !
