Be bloody sensible

Sun Dec 22, 2013 8:44 pm

We have a breakthrough. Tan and Malky will talk. The fans have spoken. Now let's be sensible. We need Tan and his money as without it we are in deep shit. Let these two people speak. Don't antagonise the situation. We don't need protests or anti-Tan shouts or flags. We need to make a real cauldron for Saturday against very good and difficult opponents. We need the three points as January has a thrown up a nightmare of fixtures. Scream and shout for the boys - it's the best way to show our support for Malky. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Let's not. We need to build on the good work that has already been done. To just now do nothing would be an insult to the brave away supporters who have restored some pride to our club. Let's show tan once and for all that me mean business. We need to protest against him at our next home game and not let him off the hook. :ayatollah:

I agree Brezza. By all means use the current momentum to campaign for blue but leave it at that. There's no point trying to alienate tan, especially when he has agreed to meet the trust next Saturday. Let's see if the trust can convince Tan to have a change of heart and restore us to our traditional colours and work with the fans instead of against us.

Why kick the man when he's down, mind you the hard core fans have probably done enough of that over the years. The dialogue must be given a chance first.

And you think calling for him to get out is the way forward? Wouldn't calling for our colours back be more sensible? Than call for something that's never going to happen until he is ready.

I agree here they are meeting Tan on Saturday and will be asking for us to go back to blue next season. The week Tan has just had he may be inclined to agree. However if this protest goes ahead on Boxing day he is more likely to bunker down and continue with the rebrand. So lets not be stupid here, lets talk first.

Instead of protesting ask / demand that Tan talk to and work with the fans

The media were totally on our side when we sung pro malky songs & supported our manager at Anfield....we had everyone on our side.......a protest against Tan on a matchday means we could lose all that positive attention we received from the media & other football fans. I'm not a red/blue supporter, I'm a Cardiff city supporter

I argue with my mates all time some are manc fans who happened to support Cardiff aswell even though they know f**k all about the team etc just goes along with the results, calling tan over he needs to f**k off etc even though they don't know the facts of whats gone on, we need tan for the business sense but all we need to do is make tan realise to leave the football side to malky and his staff, people just want tan out fullstop but lets not forget tans done great thing for this club along with shit things e,g rebrand and this malky situation

Totally agree with the OP progress has been made this weekend. The dialogue talked about and promised must be given the chance. Obscenities and insults will not help the situation, neither will ridiculous suggestions of burning Malaysian flags or invading the pitch.
The best way to go forward in my opinion is to wear blue scarves, shirts, and to get behind the team on the pitch.
We need tan to reassess the way he runs the club, not leave it!
Fans wishing for Tan to leave, may see the demise of Cardiff City Football Club if he does.
And for all the brave talk they will not attend games if we drop down the divisions just as Cardiff fans did not attend games in the past!

So beyond caring now, it's like my time machine to 2010 has really worked.

Maybe that's why f**k all happened between then and now, too little appetite for war.

Whatever happens happens, Tan us too far in to just disappear tomorrow, but he's got too much invested to be a complete dick about it. So who knows maybe he'll change us back to blue to appease us, or offer a significant amount in Jan nod a new Malky chant, hell a freaking apology would be a nice start.

Appetite for war  I thought we were talking about a protest here. Let me guess your gonna be like all the supporters who say they would watch us whatever division we were in. It's good to know if everything goes tits up & we end up like wolves we will have 20.000+ at every home game

What a weak and pathetic attitude some of our fans have. Now is time to be strong and not weak. So some think that it's ok now we had a whinge to let tan off the hook. Tan has given nothing and by the reaction of some on this post you would think that Tan has pledged to turn us back to blue and back Malky to the hilt. That's all that has happened is Malky has a stay of execution whilst Tan figures out ways to get himself out of the shit. Failure to protest at our next home game would be an insult to the effort of our away fans and Tan needs to feel the full feeling of our fan base so let's unite and get rid of this clown before he destroys our club completely.

Wars imply referred to how it was them with post game protests matches and how it had been sorry if you needed a holding of the hand for that. As for the second part? I'm not sure what your overall point is. Assuming I could afford it and work wasn't an issue id go to watch Cardiff whatever happens. It's not like the quality of football ever stopped me before. I make it clear in the post that at this point given the shit everyone's had to endure people should do what they want. I'm sure the people protesting are aware of the potential ramifications and the opposite too.

The ramifications of driving Tan away is far better than seeing him destroy the last remnants of our club. If tan goes unchallenged then he will turn us into a sideshow that will be unrecognisable to most fans and will not be worth supporting anyway. Tan out is the only way.

Tell me why is tan out only way? Why not challenge him over colours? What you fail to realise is that you don't have any say who tan sells us to! Could be even worse owner, is that a risk worth taking? When surely pressure on him to change us back is better option? And calling for him to go is not way forward.

See what I mean, both opinions perfectly valid at this avenue.

We have challenged him over the colours and if you remember he did not care what we thought so that boat has already sailed. I think many fans are more than prepared to take the risk of Tan leaving as the ramifications can not be any worse and than seeing this clown dismantle our club. If Tan is allowed to stay then he will have changed our club so much that we will not recognise it anymore and what is left will not be worth supporting anyway. The debate on whether we should risk him leaving is over as our brave away fans have already called for this. What we need to do now is finish the job by protesting and showing Tan that he has crossed the line. I was proud to watch our away fans on tv and look forward to repaying their efforts by protesting against Tan at our next home match.
