HOW DOES AWAY TICKETS WORK?

Haven't been to an away game for 2-3 years and keen to try fit one in this year while a few of the games pop up for us Gold folk. When purchased are they loaded on to our cards as per home games or given physically in the post etc? Reason i ask is that only 1 of my mates and my dad with me this year have memberships so if they can't make it i dont really want to get to an away game for them to cross check the card ive given out to a friend and refuse entry? You don't need to worry about any of that. Just go. Paper ticket

You get a paper ticket, like at Anfield yesterday, which have a bar code on them. The CCFC cards are only for home games.
