Be careful what you wish for

Sun Dec 22, 2013 12:37 pm

Where as I agree with all of the statements supporting Malcky I fear that if supporters continue the backlash against Tan he will walk and take all his money with him.
We are in huge debt to him and he could quite easily destroy us. It could be worse than Portsmouth.
Worrying times

This is exactly how I feel.

The grass on the other side might be a lot less green without VT's financial clout.

Would be a lot more blue though.. & a lot less Malaysian. :ayatollah:

Wouldn't care myself if he fucked off and left us in the shit. If we were relegated and went back to blue with a 10-20point penalty we could rebuild the club. A club of our stature wouldn't fail to attract investment especially if we went bust and had our debt written off. Honestly wouldn't mind if we did a Portsmouth.

We may not even exist in a years time if Tan Goes. How would you feel about paying out for your season ticket in February to find that the club winds up in August. You will not get your money back

I refer to the "Ridsdale Incident" for an answer to that, fella ;) :ayatollah:

If a Tan got his way, Cardiff City being known as Cardiff City would cease to exist pretty soon anyway. All depends on the outcome of the Hull decision. I've no doubt that if that is allowed, Cardiff Dragons would be next

This man is position & it's taken his horrific treatment of Mackay for the majority of supporters to finally realise it.

So you know that for a fact is it or just more lies to push the agenda?

I know what you're saying but tans in too deep now to walk away, (approx £130 million) he would lose far to much money, the only way he could get his money back and more is by keeping us in the premier league, finishing the stadium expansion and the new training facilities and then selling us on at a profit.

There are many quotes attributed to Tan which confirm he is looking at a name change & I have no doubt at all that if Hull are allowed to do theirs, Tan will be straight on to it too.

I wonder how appalled Jesus will be by that, eh?

Apart from message board rumour show me these quotes because as far as I can see the quotes from tan has said the opposite.

Cheap pops are pathetic and just shows your arguments are paper thin.

I have no agenda to push. I hate what tan has done but I also worry about what he is capable of. I love the club and hate the changes. We are not dealing with a logical business man and I fear what he could do. He may just act out of spite. Lets face it 150 million is nothing to him. I am not a Tan supporter

There's plenty of quotes - one from his BBC Sport interview & another live on Sky Sports News.

Not cheap pos at all - if you're really going to try and tell protesting fans that Jesus is appalled with them, they've got a right to a comeback!

As I said, Fireman Sam is disgusted with Tan's behaviour. :thumbright:

IMO tan won't pull out he would lose too much
When he goes and he will go sometime it will be to a new owner
He's in for too much now to pull out
We must stand up to him just like Malky is doing
Don't be intimidated by him anymore :ayatollah:

O-Kay chuckles...I'm not doubting what you say tan said.....but back it up with some genuine evidence.

And there are plenty of quotes saying the opposite from similar sources and the club itself.

get your facts straight now, someone asked me so I gave them my view. To be honest I think jesus would even find the whole thing irrelevant as there are far more pressing matters in the world that would concern his time that the rebrand of a football club.

and yes, a cheap pop. You've got form, its plain for everyone to see, if you don't like what someone says rather than stick to a reasonable debate you start trolling with insults.

Lets hope he reconsiders and sees sense. He could still come out of this looking ok. I also think his advisors have fed him crap info

Sadly, I don't have access to the film rooms at Sky or BBC. Do you not remember the furore caused when Tan refused to rule out a name change during his BBC Sport documentry about a year ago?

As for the SSN segment, it was just before Hull away - when he and the a hull owner were being interviewed. Again, no footage - but it was definitely said. :thumbright:

The same sources that said we wouldn't be rebranding after all? wake up and realise that no matter what the club want - if tan wants to change it's name, he will. :old:

If you're going to tell people that make believe characters like Jesus would be appalled by fans actions, they've got a right to a come back. As I said, a similar make believe character, Fireman Sam, is appalled at Tan's actions.

Yyaaaawwwwwwnnnnn. You still here?

Sky intervuew was tongue in cheek and dry sense of humour. Fact is nothing had been Saidi about further rebranding and in fact statements have been given stating the opposite.

You can't rule it out on the basis that he didn't confirm it. The quotes attributed to him in said interviews leave me in no doubt that if the Hull change occurs, Tan will be straight on to it.

Tongue in cheek? Of course it was - suits your agenda nicely that one, I guess.

Fireman Sam said it wasn't tongue in cheek though. :laughing6:

Facts are he said he was looking into it. Not even Jesus can deny that.

Actually, you're wrong. It is a well known fact that (as Santa lives at the North Pole) Fireman Sam works at Pontypandy Fire Station, which is actually the area in Caerphilly where the fire station is sited...FACT! ;)

Hopefully, that will re-start your kids faith in the Christmas dream! :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
