Would you accept the return of Dave Jones?

From many of the press reports it seems that our former manager has built up quite a rapport with Tan. Does he have Tans ear? Is Tan going to him for advice on football matters?

It's looking increasingly likely that he will be coming back to CCFC in some form. Now I know most would not want him back as manager but would you accept him as a director of football, acting as a go between between Malky and Tan, and working on signings?

I read yesterday on BBC website that mahmet had decided not to appoint Dave jones in any capacity.

No. Dave Jones doesn't like people from this part of the world. I would rather Neil Warnock than him. Neil Warnock always speaks very highly of the fans and gets on well with Malky.

IMO a director of football is bull shit for a club

If these reports are true then expect his return.

Remember Tan knows nothing about football so needs someone in place who does and he can trust. It seems through the adversary between Jones and CCFC that a bond has happened between him and Tan. These things happen. Its a bit like when two lads have a fight in the playground they become good mates.

Would I accept his return? No not at first. As manager I can't think of anything that could be worse. As Director of Football it is a position I don't think works with "think" being the operative word. If it was to happen here I would be suspect of it. However something tells me it might be worth a go and if I was in Tans shoes I guess I would go for it.

YES defo, atleast i could say after every game we had a go on there goal after losing 4-3 or something rather than this malky defensive two shots on the other teams goal in 90+ minutes while camping, hoofing, whats worse is we still do it even a few goals down then change it when its to late

It happened when tan was getting involved with that European club Craig as tan took issacs with him. He was upset about not being involved in the championship trophy celebrations and is jealous of Steve's relationship with Malky so has been putting the knife in ever since.
It's unbelievable that tan would rather listen to a man who was charging the club 20% interest on his loans as against a man who partners him in the house of sports ventures and is working tirelessly on the stadium expansion and new training facility.
Perhaps it's a culture thing Craig but tan certainly brings it on himself by listening to this mans advice. All other directors and indeed Sam are behind malky

hes one of the most experienced ex football players in the premier league, he has alot of connections knows the types of players a club needs to succeed and although management might not be the option a director of football he would be a class act..

Tis I suspect is another Vinnie the Poo master plan to piss us off. Unless Vinnie really is a football genius and realises a manager who was sacked because he couldnt produce in the Championship and the fans despised, who doesn't like wales or the paps. and thinks taking a training session whilst playing golf. How he is not managing Chelsea I cant understand.
