@DafPritchard: As you've just heard from @robphillipshere on @bbcradiowales, Mackay now in talks with his agent Raymond Sparked and Richard Bevan of LMA.

Good on you Malky!!!!

To me, that indicates he has been sacked already

But has something happened since FT prompted him to speak to the LMA?

Constructive dismissal case maybe?

Not really as they could want confirmation of where he would stand with constructive dismissal

Malky has stated he will not walk away. Even though it would be constructive dismissal, it is still walking away. Thats why i believe something has happened and hes been sacked.

Agree Craig, something must have happened for this to happen.

Nothing wrong in getting professional advice to strengthen your case surely

I didnt say it was wrong. I just believe something has happened to prompt it so soon after full time

how can it be that if he hasn't resigned ,if hes been sacked hes been sacked and they will thrash out a compo deal unless tan has any grievances against him ,then it would go to court

I'd be amazed if Malky hadn't been in close contact with the LMA and his agent for some time.

Makes perfect sense to speak to your union rep before the boss!

Exactly, he will be taking advice on how to proceed when sacked, or negotiate an exit if he has a new job at WBA or another club.....

Nothing further has had to have happened for him to seek advice from the LMA. It makes sense to speak to them after what has allegedly been said.
Hope he takes tan for every penny he can, if/when he is sacked

wez I imagine if MM is sacked there wont be a compromise on MMs side why should he compromise . I would imagine he is entitled to his full contracted salary.
I am honestly beginning to be of the opinion that the Malaysian Gov. may be pretty upset with Tan pon and will be advising accordingly him to act with a little more maturity and morality , I still think it all comes down to the barring of him in the changing room he lost one of his faces and he cant handle it.

The LMA are doing what a trade union should do and making a very public display of support for their member. Its meant as a warning shot across the bows for Tan to remind him they are very closely scrutinising his every move.

Craig, BBC Radio Wales were starting to report that Malky had (sort of) "won the day" and there had been a turn around by the club's hierarchy (no mention of Tan himself, mind)

Maybe, fella. It's how the Echo do it!
Actually, that's not fair. I am hearing very positive things about how certain Media Wales sports writers are conducting themselves during these times
I guess all will be revealed as and when there is a need, but from my point of view I see that old cliche "No news is good news" as a very poignant one given the world and his dog was
STATING "Malky will be sacked straight after the Liverpool game"
