We all know what Tan is trying to do it's just that some can't stomach the way he is going about it.
We all want what Tan wants, what any fan of any football club wants, a successful football team playing entertaining football.
We all know that Tan is in this for the money and to make money he wants to sell the club to the Asian market.
To sell the club to the Asian Market, Tan needs the club to be playing entertaining football.
We all love Malkay, he took us up and is one hell of a decent guy but we all know deep down he will never be able to produce the type of football we would all love to watch and that Tan needs
Personally, looking back to last year and this year, whilst success in the Championship and stability in the Premier was all that I could ever have asked for, the football has quite frankly in the main been dire to watch.
Some say that Tan is jealous of Malkay , feeling that he has won all the plaudits for the success we have achieved. Some believe Malkay to be the up and coming manager that any club would love to have and can't understand how Tan can possibly be on the point of letting him go.
Many fans have an agenda against Tan over the re-brand and will use any opportunity they can to get Tan out of the club irrespective of of how things are going on the pitch, placing Malkay on a pedestal.
I think every one of us has to be honest with ourselves and if we were in Tan's shoes, a businessman from another country with no long term ties to the club who had pumped millions of money into the club, would we be happy with what is happening on the pitch and would we not be looking to improve things if we could.
Ignoring the odd wonderful days we have experienced e.g. Man City and Swansea, i think its fair to say that if it hadn't been for David Marshall we would be rock bottom right now. I think it would also be safe to say that a lot of Tan's money has not been spent as we would have liked with a distinct lack of flair players having been purchased. Many would also agree with me that the football last season was not wonderful to watch and had Malkay not been forced into changing his midfield set up we may not have actually achieved promotion after such a wonderful first half of the season.
Tan has many faults and his handling of what will inevitably be Malkay's dismissal has been poor to say the least. Personally I think its just a culture thing, with foreign owners used to dealing with matters differently and many not having any football background whatsoever. I am also suspicious of Malkay's involvement in this circus and would love to know why all of a sudden out of character he makes a statement about how many players he wants and how on earth a personal email from Tan to Malkay got leaked to the press!
For me I would have loved to have given Malkay a full season as a deserved reward for getting us up even though deep down I believed he would ultimately have to be replaced if I was ever going to enjoy watching the football being played on the pitch. For Tan, anxious to get the club on the stock exchange and believing his money has been spent unwisely, i can understand his desire to get rid of Malkay now before the window opens so that his next transfer window budget would be spent productively.
Yes its all front page news, embarrassing for some although not quite sure why. Managers get sacked all the time and your not going to do that unless you actually tell a man your going to be sacked or suggesting he may want to resign. Yes an email is a crass way to do it but when your not on speaking terms its not easy to do it any other way and why should he expect the email to be leaked after all Malkay is an honorable man is he not?

Wow.
Very well put and fairly correct. However there are ways of doing things and lets be honest as you have asked for but Tan has gone about this in such a bad way that all credit he believes he deserves he has destroyed. Ruthlessness at his level is common but he knows it comes with its drawbacks. I feel this drawback is going to be something he will struggle with.
