EVEN IF TAN TURNED US BACK BLUE TOMORROW

Fri Dec 20, 2013 8:44 pm

I still want the idiot out of our club, if as expected he sacks Malky then it is time for Tan to stay away for good.

I have stayed very much down the middle and seen the arguments from both sides regarding Tan's rebranding but the way in which Tan is behaving and treating Mackay and in turn this club, for myself enough is enough.

Time to go Vincent.

He has no football knowledge and don't care about anyone but himself

Re: EVEN IF TAN TURNED US BACK BLUE TOMORROW

Surely this is meek compared to taking a blue club and turning it red, taking a traditional badge with bluebird and changing it to a beer mat etc etc etc

I dont get why all the hostility NOW. Is Malky (a manager for 2 years) more important to fans thats the actual clubs identity which stood for 100 years? :?

Re: EVEN IF TAN TURNED US BACK BLUE TOMORROW

Agreed. It's quite clear he's not the man to be running out football club.

Sooner he goes the better.

I want him to stay. Yes, really. :ayatollah:

However, I also want Malky to stay. :malky:

The future of the club, in my opinion, was very much in doubt if we had turned down the opportunity of investment, we went with it and have had to live with it but he is doing his level best to screw it all up and that is why the hostility now.

Carl,
Can you clarify something for me? If Tan were to leave, what happens to the club financially? As major shareholder, I understand he can't just walk away, or can he? What are the impacts on the club?

Paul, he will want his money back of course but he will never get every penny as nobody will pay what would be needed.

I am confident there will be somebody who will have a go at Cardiff City FC.

Of course with payments from the Premier League we could survive on that income but may have to cut our cloth accordingly if there was nobody there to bankroll it.

Managing Malky out of the club will be Tans Demise. I will be happy for him to leave & to take his dirty money with him. I'm ready to support our squad compete in the lower leagues, we'll be blue & proud. Tan described us as vociferous with the rebrand, sack Malky & you will see what an uprising is all about

For me the rebrand has been bubbling under the surface for a long time, I hate the fact we are playing in red, promotion wasn't the same. I was happy but it didn't felt like all my dreams come true, it didn't feel like Cardiff City. That feeling still exists, I cannot bare not to go at all, Cardiff City is something I have always known. I have a massive amount of respect for our manager, he is professional, got a great record, by all means not perfect but a damn fine bloke who deserves much more respect than Tan has given this week. I am now fully support of any campaign for Tan to leave our club, however detrimental this might be! Tan has behaved disgracefully this week as many pundits, managers have pointed out. I simply do not understand how Tan can have supporters right now?

Come on city players whether Malky is there tomorrow or not play your hearts out for Malky! :ayatollah:

If you didnt say anything initially because you thought the future may be bleak financially then i would tread carefully if I were you.

If he wants his money back all he has to do is sell all the players and have outgoings at barely operational costs level and take a dividend on the yearly club profit to the level of his shares. he could strip the club bare and take what he is owed from the TV money and parachute money should relegation occur... And still sell the club. He can leave the club in almost a worse position that when he found it. Genuinelly.

I don't care a toss about Malky, IMO he is too inexperienced to be playing at this level, but this episode ,well the handling is the final straw.

I agree with this and I am sure most fans were the same, we were in a different position at the time, it felt like there wasn't much choice really. The one thing I bought into was debt to equity. Nearly a year and a half later and still not done. Was Tan ever going to do it, is all this nonsense a ploy to cause unrest so it with another way out? :?

But you didnt DO anything at the time.

If you all start going nuts at him to the point he sees his role at the club untenable or indeed that he is losing his customer base then he can do what I highlighted above. If it was down to financial hardship for the club why you didnt do anything initially - then it makes no sense to do so now as he could ruin the club.

Hell, he may just do it out of spite. Hes bonkers.

I didnt say I liked the man. I'm working on the "better the devil you know" theory.

What alternatives do we have?

A) If he walks away and takes his money with him, then the club folds completely. (I'm hoping he has too much invested to do that, but you never know.
B) If he sells the club, the only type of person who can afford it will be another overseas billionaire who wants the kudos of owning a Premier League football team, with almost certainly the same issues around not knowing the game, not respecting tradition etc

Football is changing, and whether we like it or not, some time in the not too distant future the Premier league will become a franchised organisation. I want us to be a part of that.

Tradition is overrated. Tradition was 51 years in the lower leagues. We spend too much time looking back in this country, as well as in football. The football world is changing, and I want the club that represents the city of my birth to be a part of the future, not the past.

Let's be honest and serious here Carl.

Your stuck with him and it will only take a couple of positive changes, like a couple of new signings etc and he soon has the masses back in his palm. Message boarders are different persons to the new plastics that swell the club, they will still attend, wont go against Tan and financially you are snookered too if he buggers off, albeit naturally you could be bought by someone else, BUT Tan won't walk anyway , he knows he can win the masses with his wallet.

Re: EVEN IF TAN TURNED US BACK BLUE TOMORROW

Western Mail writer Steve Tucker says Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay will definitely be taking charge of his last game against Liverpool on Saturday.

The popular Bluebirds boss has reportedly been handed an extraordinary ultimatum by owner Vincent Tan that he must either resign or be sacked despite an impressive start to life in the Premier League.

The former Watford boss didn't attend today's pre-match press conference and Tucker told Keys and Gray such is the farcical scenario Mackay could feasibly be fired before the game against the Reds.

Tucker added that Tan has insisted on getting too involved with football decisions at the club and cannot understand why he is not getting the credit for Cardiff's success.

Steve I cannot disagree that the message board does not represent the feeling of the majority of the fans who attend the games and if he pulls in a top name manager then many will become meek but for myself at least I have lost any respect toward him and especially the way he runs the club.

Glad to see you feel the same and like you I have many friends who do too. I pride myself as being a loyal and passionate person who knows respect and this week we have seen our club in a very bad way, no class or respect from what is a self made billionaire a our manager!

I genuinely don't mind if we are relegated with no funds for new players, if it means Tan leaves and a return to our true colours and identity.
