A forum for all things Cardiff City
Fri Dec 20, 2013 12:51 pm
I am not a regular poster on the forum although I have been reading the various posts on a daily basis years. I'm a gold member living in London and try to get to as many games as possible. The rebrand led to a lot of soul searching but I decided I would continue my support of City, the team I have followed across the country since I was an 11 yo in 1993.
If Malky goes then I will stop attending games unless it is in a protest capacity. We have let this meglamaniac change our badge and colour as we were so desperate for a bite of the promised land. Now we are letting him jeopradise our future in the Premier League because of this f*$^ing outright weirdo.
Face up to the facts, Cardiff City FC is currently a laughing stock in the footballing world. Maybe living in London, you feel that more prominently as you are often out drinking with fans of other clubs and so your out of the 'bubble' that exists in Cardiff and surrounding area where the majority of football people are either Cardiff fans or 'supporters' of one of the big 4/5.
At the moment we are a laughing stock because of the crazy b8stard who owns our club. If we just continue as we have been and attend games and do nothing in the form of protest then we are essentially supporting Tan. Our club will be ridiculed not just because of Tan but because we as fans have no soul.
Sort it out City.

I am going because this is THE most irrational decision I have ever seen made at Cardiff City in 20 years. Believe me we are going down because of this dick making decisions with NO football knowledge whatsoever.
I am not stopping my support for City I just refuse to line the pockets of Tan anymore.

What 'better manager' are we going to get? No self-respecting well established manager will want to join come to City. You overestimate Tan's football intelligence. He expects us to be competing for Champions League football for christs sake.

So Malky getting sacked is more irrational than changing our colours?

On a footballing level of course it is. My argument is based on the fact that he has fucked up our identity and now he will f**k up our ability to play football. Just wait and see where we are in six months time. #goindown

totally agree, what if Malky had left for Everton, would you have stopped going then
If we got a half decent manager, started playing some kind of decent football while climbing the leagues you telling me you wouldnt watch because Malky is gone? I find that mind boggling.

My issue is with the fact that Tan is not doing this for Football reasons, its because he wants another yes man to add to his group of puppets. FACT
We have one of the best up and coming managers in European football who will only get better (along with the teams that play for him) and we are losing him for the sake of a weirdo with a massive ego. It's disgusting and I can't believe your that simple that you can't see it. Get your head out of your arses for god sake.

He makes some good points though, but I was way more pissed with the rebrand fiasco than this one. Although this is becoming the straw that broke the camels back for some.
And Wez thinks we'll be getting a better manager, Alan fuckin Shearer is who Tan wanted, thank f**k he turned us down.
f**k Tan and bring on the protests

Yes he is crazy although I think there is some method behind the madness on this one.

How stupid do all you posters feel now. It wasn't Tan's fault for the rebrand and us going down. It was us the fans. We should hang our heads in shame for changing our club colours overnight and bringing in a piss poor manager when we already had a manager who will be up there with Rodgers in 5 years time. At the end of the day this was the first time for many in the top flight and we lacked the football intelligence to realise what tan was doing in bringing in Solksjaer was shear madness of the highest level. Yes Malky made a few mistakes with signings, but that is all they were and mistakes have to happen otherwise you will never learn and become better. Yes, we had a few poor performances in December with defeats but so what? It was just a bit of a bad run. Every team has one. Cannot understand the mindless stupidity of some people on here who thought we should have started playing more 'attractive' football. The highlights of this season were Swansea and Man utd home - absolutely immense performances and a rocking Ninian stand next to away fans. Can't believe that less than 2 months after these games our season was over and relegation loomed.

You think within 5 years Malky will be challenging for the title......WTF!!
Sun May 04, 2014 9:12 am
Yes, why not? 5 years ago people would have laughed at the idea of Rodgers being where he is now.

rodgers assembled a squad that won promotion that included..boreni.taylor..williams..rangel..britton..allen..dyer..and sinclair.........what league do those play in?
then signed vorm, graham and routlegrgr in his first window...and added caulker and sigurson on loan.......
ALL these play regular prem football 3 years on..
and he didnt spend a fraction of what MM did........ have a proper look the squad MM assembled is very poor ........
