Breaking Cardiff City news: Assistant manager David Kerslake will take this morning's press conference rather than Malky Mackay.

He's getting a real grilling and not coping too well with it to be honest.

Well done Kerslake.....and well done malky for not playing with all the vultures swooping around this morning.

Can't help thinking of the way spitting image portrayed the media. Oink oink. :malky:

He did fantastically well considering. Remember he has Tanpon watching every word and move.

Who was the bell end from the Club who interupted.

understandable. I imagine he just wants the focus to be on the football not his job.

I wasn't being critical about his answers as they were spot on about not talking about Malky but he seemed as he was buckling under the pressure of the questions and that's why whoever it was from the club stepped in.

I think Malky told Kerslake to take the press conference, for the good of the club and the game on Saturday.

Malky knows that it was not going to be a conference about the game against Liverpool. So stepped aside .

Craig's not intelligent enough to see that.

Since when is it kerslakes job to do press conferences with a moments notice when every question will be awkward?

Agree with Craig here, that was very unfair to drop him in it like that, Cardiff should have at least had a decent PR person there with him and not that plum Denham who looked like he couldn't answer the phone never mind a question.

I'll tell you since when....it's the same has having a bad game on the pitch, many managers even SAF in his time will send in his no 2 to face the press, I think Malky done the right thing this morning, but as always people looking into it to deeply.

It was reported on sky before the interview that Malky thought it was the best way forward, and I think it was the right move.
