Not really big news or new news to most of you but something I thought I would pass on.
The last of the "piling" work is just about coming to an end, this ground work was essential to the building process. The mound of earth extracted during this work will be removed shortly and the steelwork will start to arrive.
The work is progressing well and when completed the stadium will be 60% higher on the Ninian side compared to the rest of the stadium, a little like at Leeds United, but far more modern.

Why?

I saw the empty seats at WBA.
There is a good chance we could go down, which would mean reduced attendances. Why not wait until we are established instead of making a ground bigger we cannot already fill.
Their priorities are so out of order. We are in huge amounts of debt. So instead of maybe being content and going down with the parachute payments, lets spend a shed load of money we don't have on a seats we cannot fill.

Things get done in stages,Rome was not built in a day. It clear to see our owner wants his product to compete and is prepared to take one step at a time...

Ye ok, it's all set in stone. It makes me wonder why you're talking on a forum and not on the board of directors. Remind in 5 years time when we are in League 2 with massive stadium

I would rather everyone who wants to buy a ticket being able to get a ticket and us have some spare capacity than a full house at current capacity and turning people away.
This wait til we're established bollox is just that - bollox. What constitutes being established? As far as I'm concerned there are only 6 established teams in this league and thats the Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool & Spurs.
Anyone else is at threat of relegation.

yes, something to do with you can only spend what you generate so more seats means more bums which means more cash.
Mr Tan may not know much about football yet but he certainly knows how to make money.

So when exactly do we become established????? for example, we could leave it for three seasons and then expand, what's saying we wouldn't get relegated the following season??? (the forth season)

I just don't think it is worth the risk. We are not financially sound whatsoever.
