Paul Abbandonato:
How long does Mackay have left?
And so we come onto scenario three, the most likely one, of Tan firing the bullet. I’m a little surprised it hasn’t happened already, but I guess the calming influence of chairman Mehmet Dalman coupled with a win over Swansea and a draw with Manchester United have prevented Tan taking the obvious course of action.
So when will he do it?
Possibly after the Liverpool game, handing a prospective new manager two easier home matches – Southampton and Sunderland – in which to bed himself in.
It could be towards the end of January, when daunting away fixtures at Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United may give Tan an excuse results wise.
Wait until then, of course, and a new manager won’t have the opportunity to bring in his own players.t really is a sorry old mess and many intelligent Bluebirds fans, real pro-Mackay men, are texting or e-mailing me to say that, for the good of the club, the parting of the ways has sadly got to come. The status quo, they accept, just isn’t workable.
Personally.
I believe Mackay has done a brilliant job and if he gets the Tan vote of confidence, he will keep the Bluebirds in the Premier League.
Whether he gets the opportunity, however, to finish the work he has started is subject of enormous doubt.
In the meantime, as that sign above the Liverpool tunnel says, ‘This is Anfield.’ It won’t be a warm welcome for the Bluebirds.

There's no rush but I would say 5-7 days. That allows us then to sack BFS and get the finest up and coming manager installed for many years to come and lead us into our new stadium where we become London's main club. Wouldn't be surprised if it was MM who first manager to take us Champions league.

Paul, just remember, whatever happens City fans have had all the crap chucked at us before. At least we can hold our heads high! Whoever takes over as Manager or Owner some day should be humbled by this valliant vociferous army!

The Tan v Malky impasse will only be broken when another club enters the fray, e.g. West Brom or West Ham. If either of these 2 come calling then a way will be found to cut a deal suiting all parties.

Malky will only leave for a clearly better club ie, one of the top 7

West Brom and West Ham are far more attractive than Palace.

Neither will pay the compo to Tan. That is very unlikely to happen. Just wait we have a manager anyway no rush.

Next 2 results don't go fat Sam's way you'll be in the market for a new manager before you know it.

That means he's sacked then as we have no chance in the next two games.

Nice to hear that Cardiff have not stooped as low as west ham and have no restrictions for travel for the game in January.

That's good. Be a right 6 pointer that game. Cardiff requested the restrictions on the basis they wanted a clean start to their premiership tenure. That's a fact. Don't blame them you know the press would loved to have nailed you one ounce of a sniff.
