Not posted on this message board for a while but with the recent statement being released from Lim and reading some of the comments from certain posters I feel the need to post.
Firstly, why is Vincent Tan blaming Mackay and Moody for overspending the budget? Surely someone must give authority for these transfers. It's not like we'r talking about spare change, we'r talking millions on pounds. Surely Moody wasn't in charge of these finances and didn't hold the signature to the cheque book.
I can't comment personally on the squad as Iv not been since the rebrand but from what Iv seen on TV, media and from talking to friends who are season ticket holders the new players hasn't set the premier league alight and there's still a lot to be proven from some players. But what do some fans expect? It's our first season in the premier league, with a couple of players who has never played in the PL before and a back room staff who are also inexperienced at this level. The aim this season is to survive, simple as that.
Also must touch on Tan's comment about "raising fans expectations". Since when did Tan care about us as supporters? He didn't care the day he changed the club crest and club colours so for him to say that is just hypocrytical.
Iv clearly not been VT's biggest fan since the rebrand but there is only one person damaging this club. I see the positives that VT has given the club but for me everything negative that's has been said and done far out ways the positives. It's time that we stood up and fight for our club back. It's time that Vincent Tan left the club.
