Slovak midfielder Filip Kiss has completed a training stint with Ross County with the view to a January loan move.
The 23-year-old Cardiff City player – known as the Sliding Slovakian because of his all-action style – has yet to make an appearance for the Welsh club in the Premier League this season but played in the League Cup final for City in the 3-2 loss to Liverpool in February last year.

I always liked Kiss... in the Championship. He'd do alright at that level. We should just try and sell him now though for his own sake as well as ours. Has great potential but won't realise it here or in constant loan spells.

Not every signing is going to come out right, on this occasion its not really a big deal.

Im more concered about Velikonja, who was signed around the same time, but was at least showing promise and scoring a lot of goals when he played (albeit at dvp level) and never even got a look in. Such a shame for 1m+

Cowie has virtually always played on the wing.. That leaves Gunnar, Mutch and Whitts. If one of those got injured he would be the cover. yes we may have brought a loan player in but that would involve a loan fee and depending who we did bring in would potentially cost more on wages. What would happen outside of the loan window. He showed enough to be brough in on a permanent transfer. I personally thought he showed alot of potential. Malky obviously rated him as he played a part in the League Cup final. He may not bring (potentially) 1 million back but we would most likely get what we paid for him back.. Especially if he does well in scotland... Celtic are always gullible.. Tan (or whoever let the funds go) didnt have to proceed with the transfer.

He did seem a wasteful signing but I always felt he could have broken into the championship team given a chance.

I think he is better than Ross County, I still think he could do a job in the championship.

Malky had a year of him on loan to know what he was getting.

He actually played 13 games for us before Mutch arrived

Filip Kiss is a good player who more than impressed on his loan spell to justify signing him permanently. He was awesome away to Blackpool when we dominated the whole game having the most one sided 1-1 draw I have ever seen. Unfortunately for Kiss, we really strengthened the squad last season with the likes of Mutch and Kim coming in and now we have reached the Premiership and improved the squad further with players like Medel, there is no chance of Kiss breaking through.

I feel a bit sorry for him because I feel if he played for an average Championship club, he would have had a run of regular games to get the experience to develop into a very good player. I still believe when Kiss finds the right club, he will still develop into a quality midfielder.

Kiss has the potential to be a very good player, still has a lot to offer in my opinion.
