There are some on here who are quick to knock MM and Iain Moody for their transfer dealings and in particular the signings of Cornelius and Brayford. Brayford maybe, but Cornelius may still work out to be a good buy.
On the flip side is the fact that they have brought in many players who are investment and have seen their value rise. There is no doubt that most of the players could be sold for a lot more than the fee pay. For, example, Campbell who cost us £650,00. I note on here that Jason Perry now says that we could get 6/7 million for him. regardless of the figures their value has increased greatly. There is no doubt that if we sold the likes of Medel, Caulker, KTC, then we would have made a handsome profit. In todays world a 15m overspend is peanuts in the premier league. Spurs spent 110m just like that. The benefits of spending for your premiership survival and the bonus of at least 100m is worth the prospect of not spending and ending back up in the Championship without that money.

Spurs didnt overspend by 110m they recopued what they spent.
Kiss, Lappin, Mcnaughton (New contract), Velonijka, Brayford, are just some of the players weve bought or wasted wages that is money down the drain. Might as well of set fire to it.
Tommy Smithy another. Why the feck is he in the 25 man squad instead of Conway? Joke.
Plus the 8m + add ons for the Dane looks like being the biggest screw up of the lot. He could very well go on to become a good player but for 8m we need someone now, not in 2 years time.
Its all very well saying its not that much in comparison Spurs paying 20m for Soldado but Spurs are aiming for top spot / champions league places and Soldado is starting matches.
For a newly promoted club to pay 8m + for a striker and not even give him 10 minutes off the bench. Crazy.

The point that I am making is that we will make a profit from the transfers. We have sound investments the value of which are going up. One or two bad signings are greatly outweighed by the profit to be made with the others ! No brainer. For example again, Campbell we paid £650K for him, what price could we sell him for now? A large profit !

Larger than the 10m weve flunked in Brayford and Corny?
Unlikely.
Campbells worth 4m tops IMO.
