Not an attractive option for many.

Tue Dec 17, 2013 5:27 am

If and when the inevitable happens and Malky leaves us I believe the vacant post will not be an attractive one for the majority of managers/coaches who would be good enough to manage us at Prem level.
The renumeration package may be attractive but look at the conditions the new guy would be working under.
Whichever way you view this current problem Malky has now been embarrassed publicly and shortly a reply will probably be on it's way, hard to do your job under these circumstances as these things should be done privately.
So what managers would be brave/silly enough to take on this roll? as it seems VT is a difficult customer to deal with as he sets the boundaries for the manager and there seems no flexibility by the man.
This season could turn sour sooner rather than later. VT has made us a bit of a laughing stock amongst football people in this country imo so best of luck to any manager who thinks he can come in and appease and impress our owner, he'll need it.

Southampton appealed to a decent enough bloke to take over from a "good" championship manager that had huge backing but couldn't cut the mustard - with a team playing shocking football and on brink of relegation zone.

But could he have worked under Tan? The guy seems unique the way he deals with problems..like no communication with the manager.
