Controversial but back to our next game

IMO we should rest the majority of our starting eleven as we are not expected to get anything against Liverpool
We need to target our 2home games and these are going to be played in a3day period
My starting eleven would be
Lewis
Brayford Connolly Hudson Taylor
Kimbo gunnerson cowie noone
Maynard Cornelius
Taylor would start as he needs games after his injury ,noone also has just got a starting place and should not need resting all the others need a start to keep them match fit as some of them may be needed against Sunderland as it comes only 2days after the Southampton game
IMO this would be a smart decision because not only would some players get a muched needed rest we would also find out if any of our 2nd string are up to premier league standard

Forgot about Connolly.

Think some of our loans might be getting a game for us aswell after the january window shuts

What a load of rubbish, we've gotten points out of games that we expected to get nothing before. Purposely throwing the game is insulting to the fans making the trip. We should be going into every game looking to get something out of it regardless of who its against

If Mackay named that side at Anfield, he would get penalised for fielding a weak side. It would also be extremely disrespectful to fans who have paid good money to go there.

I can see where you are coming from mate because this next few weeks will be tough and player rotation will be key to combat the number of games in a short amount of time, but i dont think resting the whole first team would be a good move.

imo rest turner, whits and campbell. Start hudson, kim and cornelius. Give bellamy a run out at some point as well if he is fit.

Liverpool are on form but we can deffo get something out of this game!!!

Also a thrashing would be a disater for confidence and of course goal difference which could be worth a point come the end of the season, even keep us up.

I remember back in our first season Brenda made a load of changes for an away game at villa called him all sorts when I saw the side. Called him a genius later on when we picked up an away win.
As for getting penalised for fielding a weakend side as long as the side is picked from the first team squad then you wont have a problem. We did the same at anfield last year just before the league cup final.

If you're suggesting that Gunnarson is as strong as Medel, Turner and Caulker are the same as Connelly & Hudson, Lewis is as good as Marshall & Cowie a match for Whitts in the centre, then you're deluded!

Then again, you do think Gestede is the best striker out of Cardiff and Swansea combined, so I'm not that surprised.

Taylor yes.
Kimbo on the wing is pointless.
Noone is great - team has been crying out for him all season.
Maynard - similar to Campbell, but not quite as good in my view.
Cornelius - untested but needs to start soon in my eyes.
