" THE BOARD MEETING THAT TOOK PLACE "

Mon Dec 16, 2013 8:07 pm

A board meeting did take place on Saturday morning as it was stated on here at the end of last week.

Certain board members fear for Malky Mackay's position as manager, the rebrand and what happens with further rebranding and the debt to equity was also discussed but it was said that it is going ahead.

At the end of the day whatever is discussed in the board meetings means very little as any decisions made are by one man and one man only, Vincent Tan.

Tonight we have seen how Tan is obviously still trying to oust Malky Mackay. And I mean still.

If anyone believes that Tan wants Malky as manager has their heads firmly buried in the sand, he has wanted Malky out for a couple of months and he is trying to engineer it so Malky walks.

The positive is that Malky has remained professional throughout the whole saga of the last couple of months, if Tan wants Malky to go then he has to bite the bullet and pay the compensation to sack him.

So what was discussed or is the post just your opinion ?

All this drama is doing my head in, i wish he would just sack him now, get it out the way, and get the next manager in to have a look at the team to see how he wants to strengthen in january... Although i want malky to stay !.. Such a shame....

Hang on.....FURTHER rebranding?!

Any idea on this? Badge, Name, or colours?
:(

Tan is just a petty man using Malky as a scapegoat with this latest statement.

He suggests that Malky overspent by £15m, but how does a manager have access to such money if a £20m budget is set?

TAN OUT.

It was a scheduled board meeting that's all any speculation about the further rebranding is purely that speculation.

the timing of all this is the key.............i doubt malky is happy here..and tan ,not happy with him.
malky will not jump unless there is somewhere to jump too..
and i dont think tan wants to push him ..and pay compo......just for malky to walk into another job..
i think BOTH malky and tans remarks this last couple of days are to alert other clubs to the unrest.
would suit both parties if a club asked to speak with malky.
especially with a transfer window looming

Not at all Wez, the timing may seem that way to you and I understand why you may think that but you are wrong. I was discussing this at 6.45 this evening and whilst chatting the Tan statement was released.

If I was Malky putting up with all this shit delivering week in week out I would f**k off

When all this blew up a couple of months back, I seem to remember after a clear the air meeting with Dalman that Malky was to be present at all future board meetings? Wouldn't have thought he was present on a game day unless that was the idea to keep him away?

i dont think anyone doubts Tan would like a world without Malky.........i dont think Malky is totally happy either though........do you see Malky staying should another prem club be interested enough to offer him a job?

Finances are dictating which way this plays out.

I'd keep taking the generous ££££ that Tan pays him.

Before I answer, I have a question for you, if VT sacks MM should the new manager have funds to spend ?

maybe but in fairness to tan malky has wasted a lot of money

Didnt Tan say there would be no more rebranding?

I don't post a lot on here but read quite a bit. I cannot believe how much I have fallen out of love with the club I have been going to watch for the last 21 years. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to go and leave getting to the stadium until kick off time. If it wasn't for my wife and 2 children and disappointing them I don't think I would have renewed my season ticket this year and seriously thinking twice about it next year. FFS years ago I was waiting for the turnstiles to open. Im really pissed off at the moment. It comes to something when the teams come out and I don't get off my chair. And we also score the equiliser against Man U and the same! From reading previously I know a few will say off you go then there's more waiting. And maybe there is whilst they are in the prem. I cannot stick all this red shit at the club. How many other teams fans would put up with this. It is laughable. We don't even look right when we do play in blue nowadays. Very sad!
We need to get Tan out. It doesn't bother me if we end back up in league 2. Bring back the good days. Tan could have been such a hero but for some reason he chose to be a villan. How much longer are people going to arse lick him?
Cheers,
Lee. :ayatollah:
