If we play with positivity yes. Don't go all defensive on us again Malky. Allow the players to play with some freedom. We could be meeting Liverpool at the right time. They will be without Gerrard and Sturridge next week. Medel will be the key to a good result. He must stick to Suarez like glue. He has done a job on Messi and Rooney in the past. A man marking job for Medel please Malky and a proper shift from all the rest of the lads and I think we will be ok.

Pressure on Liverpool. They relied on penalties last time we met. Can't do that this time.
Out of all the big clubs this is one place I believe we can do a surprise.

Yep don't know why I just fancy us to do a job on them

If Suarez's hamstrings go pop today Cardiff have a shot no Sturbridge, Gerrard or Suarez. But you can't really see anything other than the Suarez show otherwise.

100% no. They are blowing teams away at Anfield this season. I'd be over the moon with a draw.
Sun Dec 15, 2013 1:39 pm
I cant believe we have to play 4 of the biggest clubs away from home by jan its really going to screw us over we will be in the bottom 3 most likely and results will have to even out over the course of the season for us to be back where we belong.
If we score against run of play who knows they might knick a draw. If liverpool score early suarez might get a hat trick

Hardly, we are 4 points clear of palace and Fulham, and they have villa and man city away and newcastle home in the next 3 games. So with 2 home wins we could be 10 points clear of palace and fulham. Sunderland are long gone, and Fulham have hull/Norwich away and man city home in the next 3 games, tough games to win for both palace and Fulham.

I really believe we're going to win this game
Sun Dec 15, 2013 3:29 pm
Luis Suarez, that is all.
Sun Dec 15, 2013 3:36 pm
Posters are under estimating Liverpool. They've scored 8 in their last 2 home games. If we can get a draw, that would be a terrific result.

I feared a battering, more hopeful when Sturridge & Gerrard got injured, but blowing Spurs away at present.
Not likely, Suarez needs a rest mind?

i cant see it....they are a strong team....and on their turf....NO

Liverpool 3-0 up now. Their very good team.

5-0 mmmmmm can we beat them??

I can see Malky now with his rubber adding Gunnarrson and Cowie, I think we will go ultra defensive and hope for a set piece, not such a bad idea really

Dont think many are going to disagree with you after that Luke.

Marshall
KTC Conolly Caulker Turner Taylor
Mutch Medel Gunnarson Kim
Cowie Campbell Whitts
We might get a 0-0 then.

After seeing Liverpools performance today i don't think so,and if we go to defensive they may put more than five on us.

Im usually dead against a defensive 3 but I dont think I would object but Id rather see Medel do a man marking job on Suarez.

Suarez is on fire and he's a clever player,if medel man marks him he'll get his first red card.

Cowie..Gunnar...Whitts

Ideal lineup for this IMO. Medel to watch Suarez and the CBs to hopefully clear up. Gunnar will be needed for defensive presence. No point playing with wingers as they won't have anything to do most of the game
Sun Dec 15, 2013 6:07 pm
I hope malky writes it off....
Rest Whitts, Mutch,KTC and Medal.

I'd probably go 5-4-1 with 2 players marking Suarez. Can't give him any space at all.
Don't like playing negative football but Malky has to go for the draw and maybe hope that we get a goal on the break.

Malkys Plan A then

Keep it tight and you never know we could snatch a point. Whatever happens I'm looking forward to the game.

If we play to our potential, I honestly feel we are in with a chance

Suarez is no angel under pressure either, Medel having a dig at him every two minutes may cause any kind of reaction.

This is one game where if we lose 1-0 or sneak a draw I will not complain at all about going with a defensive set up! Liverpool looked immense today
