the paint and decorator is doing a good job

Papering over the cracks

I purposely left it until today as I didnt want to be negative after a much needed win yesterday

I let annis big malky up that he wins the games needed to

And carl jumped in with his support aswell

Now im all for mates sticking together (even if sometimes its not warranted)but its time to be honest about yesterday

We could of easily lost that game as in my opinion they had the best chances
Yes we plĂ yed so much better than against stoke and palarse

Starting with noone out wide gave us so much more of an outlet
But sadly we kept hitting aimless balls into the box with no end product
my oppinion of some of our important players is as follows
Mutch today was slow in body and in mind seemed to need ages on the ball and got out muscled to often
Whitts first half was the worst ive seen of him bottled out of every 50% 50% challenged made no forward attempts and offered taylor no outlet how ever his goal went along way to redemption of his poor recent performances
Odemwingie must be the most flagged off side player in the league this must get sorted out if he is to play up front and not out wide
Marshall was outstanding enough said
Imo we will need to score more goals if we are going to survive this league but I do think we need to be calm and support malky and the boys but its no good burying our heads in the sand we are going to be around the bottom of the league all season so lets get used to it
Me and my grandson william are just having a great time home and away and it is what it is
And its the premier league and our bluebirds are part of it so lets enjoy it as long as it lasts
Becouse as the saying goes you only realise what you had when its gone
We can now go to liverpool with nothing to lose (as were not expected to get anything there)and have a abloody good go and another great away day
Dont forget to put the alarm on early start for an early kick off see you all there I for one cant wait

Merry christmas and a happy healthy new year from me and will I am to all our fellow blue birds
And yes that includes you barry chuckles and polo  :ayatollah:

Irrelevant of what could or should have happened,or what player played good or bad the most important fact about yesterday is that we won and gained the three points, trouble with this board is so many people have a moan, fair enough after a defeat, but we won yesterday, let's just enjoy it because it's not like we are going to win every week

Agree with some and disagree with some, but that's the beauty of opinions.

Hope you and your grandson have a nice Christmas Steve. :ayatollah:

Winning games that we could have lost is the difference between survival and relegation.

The result is not necessary the most important matter. You are only as good as your next game. So, if you grab a point or three when you're playing poorly should instruct you that changes need to be made. And by the same token, if you come away with nothing when you are playing well you should stick to your guns. It is a dangerous mistake to view individual results as reasons to make decisions rather than performances themselves.

lets hope your correct..........the difference might be ..not trying to win games we should have tried to win

Steve, funny story if we had lost, it would of prob been Malky sacked and not West Brom's manager. Footballs a funny old game.

We won thats all that matters and Malky is doing a good job without a doubt, u all would of been happy with our league position before this season started true or not?

BUT YES I STAND BY MALKY FOR AT LEAST THIS WHOLE SEASON NO MATTER WHAT :malky: :malky: :malky:

See u on the bus to Liverpool, We are All BLUE are We not :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We've won games we could've lost and lost games we could've won. It happens to every team.

Spot on Karl and we are where nearly every City fan would have been happy to have been in the League before this season started :malky: :malky: :malky:

Annis we have more points than I and most could have expected
My point is it's no good getting carried away when we lose and the same when we win
In this league one win moves you up 3or4 places one draw can cost you 2or 3places we will keep going up and down all season we have to get used to it
I'm sure we will nick some more points that are not expected
My big worry is what happens when we drop some (expected easy home games)points :ayatollah:

I completely disagree with you, The amount of balls we played into the box we should have been on the end of more. Marshal had nothing to do all game apart from one save, and that was from a lucky scramble in the box. We were all over them yesterday and the best team won.

Sorry to disagree kanestar but on clear cut chances they had the most
Marshall made a brilliant save from a long header to keep us in the lead
We create less clear cut chances than them I admit we had loads of crosses into the box but with no end product and certainly we did not work there keeper enough for all our possesion :ayatollah:

I disagree aswell,we were defensively solid after a few early ben turner mistakes and the better team. KTC and taylor very rarely underperform and are citys unsung heroes. Mutch and medel upped their game after palace and noone coming in and playing the way he did shows weve got a strong squad
West Brom beat utd, drew with arsenal and were robbed against Chelsea. We beat a good side

Totally agree. We pretty much dominated for 85 minutes, they only really had a go when they had to in the dying minutes. We caused them all sorts of problems, a few more games like that and it'll start to click

Dream on boys
But my head is not in the sand
If knocking aimless balls into the box with no one there to take advantage is total dominance then I'm sorry we will be f...ed :ayatollah:

Can't disagree with most you say, except Odemwingie being offside....!
Lost count with how many times Long was offside yesterday, actually think Webb should have carded him for constant infringement .

I was about to post the same thing, Long had a feckin shocker.

I know what your saying about long ....but he don't play for us so I don't care what he does
Odemwingie plays for us and is so annoying being off side so often that was my point :ayatollah:

i really enjoyed winning Saturday, but have to agree total dominance just didnt happen, our highlights lasted how long on MOTD.?
did they miss out lots of chances?..try reading the press boys, or what opposition fans think, Malkys teams work hard, harder than ive seen with any other manager here, but that im afraid is where it ends.
