he was probably under a lot of pressure from above to try and serve up some better football.
in my opinion the performance of southampton this season has put him under pressure and to a lesser extent swansea down the road with their achievements in the last two years.
I can see from tans point of view that he is trying to market the club in the far east and lets be honest the performances at stoke and palace would not have helped that cause.
tan will also look at the monies spent on brayford and the yet untried cornelius and wonder why almost a third of the transfer budget went on those two players.
lets hope malky continues to play with a bit of pace and width because if he reverts to the tactics of stoke and palace januarys away trips are going to be very painful
