Board of Directors Missed Game

Sun Dec 15, 2013 6:30 am

I did notice yesterday that Vincent Tan and others missed the game yesterday from his usual viewpoint.

Correct Gareth, Tan never went yesterday, but as I am sure u know, Tan is not a director.
Gareth, Tan is not on the board, all the rest were present and accounted for

The full board meeting went ahead

Tan is not a director.

There is a board and they hold meetings to announce the directions of the club.

Very traditional but a total waste of time when we know who is running the show.

Makes me laugh although I don't think I will be laughing over the next annoucement.

ian

theres no real difference to when sam was owner. the board was meaningless because sam would do what he wanted even if the other board members disagreed with it.
as an example the board members voted unanimously to sack lennie lawrence but sam vetoed it. its no wonder tan and sam get on so well as they are cut from the same cloth

Not just at our club either Steve.

It is worrying when you have the like of a dictator at the helm. For clarity a dictator does what they want becuase they can do.

I cannot think of one case where it has not ended right when a dictators reign comes to an end.

Libya and Iraq spring to mind straight away. but got agree with Steve that Sam and Tan are cut from the same cloth and will do what they want whatever anyone else says.

PMSL! Comparing the end game at Libya and Iraq to Cardiff City. It's a football club FFS! It's a game of football. Tan is not a dictator of a country. He owns a football club.
