Noone has forced his way back into the selection mix after producing a fine starting performance in the win over West Brom last time out
For Craig Noone, his full Premier League bow for Cardiff City could not have come at a better time.
The ebullient winger finally got to weave his magic down the flank against West Brom last Saturday, having been held back by a cautious Malky Mackay since the club’s elevation to the top flight.
It was a statement of attacking intent from the manager which paid off, Noone proving effective in a vital 1-0 home victory.
All of which means the former Brighton star has every chance of figuring again against Liverpool at Anfield, the club he grew up dreaming of playing for as a young Scouser.
“When I was growing up it was a dream for me to play at Anfield,” said Noone, whose trickery was such an integral part to the Bluebirds’ Championship success last term.
“If I feature in the team and get out there it will be special. That’s when it will really hit me.
“It will be surreal, but I’m really looking forward to it – if the chance comes.
“I have a lot of friends and family who will be there.
“A few of them are season ticket holders at Anfield so it will be strange for them to see me lining up against the Reds.
“I’m sure they’ll be supporting me as well though.”
