How about a cheeky bid for him?

He doesn't really get much game at hamburg anymore. Still only 25 - He's Young, British and can play anywhere across the back four - even as a defensive midfielder.

Throw in a £1.5m bid and who knows. I think he'd jump at the chance to come here and we could do with some options too.

I can really see him and Caulker as our center back pairing

It is clear for all to see that Turner isn't good enough for this league so a good solid defender like Mancienne could do it. Former Chelsea defender who didn't manage to get his break - I rate him but the question is, does Malky and co?

Brilliant at wolves, but he was in the same generation as Borini etc - never got his break at Chelses. He obviously would've learned good habits at a club like HSV.

It would all come down to Malkys dossier, and Manciennes background. But I really do think it would be a good acquisition, especially with question marks over Turner at the moment. Take a chance I say!!

Just had a look and he's also a Feltham boy - same as Caulks. How knows, he might know someone, who knows someone, who knows Caulker. Get on the blower Steven and put in a good word.

He recently bought a car which was financed through my employer, maybe he's thinking about coming back to GB?
