There has been a steady call for bringing back Huds in for this Saturday, I for one would call for that change. Over the last few weeks the opposition has sussed it out that if you pressurise Turner he will hoof it away and they regain the ball without too much effort. Hudson on the other hand is far more comfortable with the ball at his feet and will try to play it out much easier, that method of distribution will enable the whole team to play 10-15 yards further up field and hence passing is more fluid and ball retention better through the team. I know people say Hudson is not the quickest and yes I would agree, but his reading of the game and interception rate more than compensates for it. But for me the one thing we have missed is a strong leader on the field. I say CUE HUDSON.

Agree. If only because we have a squad of 25 yet seem to use the same players all the time. Give Turner a rest. Same could be said for one or two others who have looked jaded in recent games.

Hudson was our rock last season.
For that reason alone he deserves a go.

How would the team play further up the field with Hudson in the team? Hudson is at least 5 yards slower than Turner, any ball played into the channels and space behind him will expose this lack of pace. To compensate he will have to sit deeper and concentrate on defending his 6 yard box which he does effectively. He is also very right footed, who plays as our left central defender?
Would love to see the stats on who played the most long balls against Palace, was it Caulker or Turner? The problem on Saturday was the pressure applied to Medel and Whittingham. The centre backs had watched both being caught in possession in the first 10 Minutes of the game.
Pulis had his tactics spot on, Jerome would have caused Hudson even bigger problems, as Ashley Barnes has done for Brighton over the past two seasons. There is a reason why Hudson has only played 7 premier league games during his career.

Yet another one who's fallen for that bullshit. Don't you realise that there are tons of centre-half partnerships where both players are right-footed? Besides, Caulker can play on the left side. He probably did so at Swansea alongside Williams.
By the way Ashley Barnes doesn't play in the Premier League.

Hudson is slower but better in possession. Time for him to get a game as the squad rotation seems to be kicking in for other positions and while turner has surprised me at how well he has played at times, against some of the very top strikers, I think he would benefit from a rest.

He still tore Hudson apart. The selection of Hudson will limit Theophile~Catherine's ability to get forward. He will be needed to cover his lack of pace. We shall see no doubt on Saturday. I never listen to bullshit I can smell it mikes away.
More than one manager has failed to pick Hudson at premier league level and how old is he now?

Really?
Pique / Mascherano - both right-footed.
Pepe / Ramos - both right-footed.
Mertesacker / Koscielny - both right-footed.
Subotic / Hummels - both right-footed.
There's no rule of having a right/left footed defensive partnership. It can work just fine either way, providing the quality is there.

If you put Bellamy in front of KTC then that shouldn't be an issue, as he is more than capable of getting forward. For me Turner needs a rest - he has worked very hard in the cause this season against some top top strikers, but has looked a bit jaded the past couple of games.
