Whether you like Malky or not 6 points from the lat 27 IS re

I like Malky Mackay, I do, and when the team takes to the pitch he and the player always have my full support for that 90+ minutes but honestly, I do think Malky has undermined his OWN position to a degree. Whenever I hear him interviewed these days I'm at a loss to understand his policies at the club. His answers just create more questions. Example:

(1) "Cornelius is not a hit-the-ground-running type of striker" - Apparently that is not what £8m buys you these days, which in itself isn't an unfair point, but then knowing this, I have to ask WHY did we buy him?! Especially when we already had Joe Mason - another striker bought for his potential that already has big game experience with Cardiff against Premier League opposition (v Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final).

(2) Why in blue-perfect-hell did we buy John Brayford?!?

(3) "I'm not worried about the lack of goals. I'd be more worried if we weren't creating chances." - Creating chances?!? When?!? This has to be the most worrying thing, if Malky thinks we're creating chances, then why would he feel the need for a change in tactics? We continue to play 4-5-1, even though we can all see that hoofing the ball up to Campbell is a pointlessly frustrating endeavor and we NEVER look like scoring from open play.

(4) Hull have spent significantly less, play better football and look significantly stronger. That has to be a worry.

(5) Yes we've taken points off Man City, Everton, Man Utd but those are games that it was expected we'd lose, so any points should be considered bonus points, and not the main foundation of our points haul to date. We have failed to pick up any victories against Hull, Stoke, Norwich, Palace, West ham or Aston Villa. There is a mini-league of teams looking to avoid relegation and those are teams we should be looking to try an beat. I'm not saying we DESERVE to or HAVE to win, but we are now a PL club and have to act like it.

I like Malky. Nice guy, good with the fans and always speaks in quotable little soundbites but I do not believe he will keep us up. I also don't believe he'll be in charge come January. Here's to hoping he makes me eat my words, but I just can't see it.
