Allan, Ive just spoken on the ph to Barrie, a City fan Ive known for 30 years and always honest and straight down the middle, Lawrenson knew a few more things I never knew and to be honest Ive never been a fan of Lawrenson, but he really feels for Malky under the conditions he is having to work at our club.

I just wonder if the main thrust of Lawro's comments relate to Vinnie's alleged interference in team selection and recruitment. We've all heard of the rumoured situation re. Velikonja by now. For example, many posts lately regarding Malky's continued selection of in form players and his apparent reluctance to back Cornelius, Who knows? Do we have a situation where there is a a stand off i.e Tan, despite his lack of football knowledge wants a higher profile quicker than seems possible and somewhere along the line it went something like this to Malky and Moody :- Tan: '' I'm prepared to lob in a bit more than the mooted £20m if I can have a couple of players in I fancy; Now I quite like the look of this guy Cornelius from Denmark and I've heard Tony Pulis and a few other Premier managers rate him. How about it Malky - deal? Oh and why not sign that guy Brayford from Derby while you're at it? He sounds tasty''

Malky and Moody go along with this to get the best they can out of the deal (Medel & Caulker) but things didn't quite turn out as Vince was hoping so Moody became the fall guy! Ever since then Malky, in a position of strength vis a vis the fans etc has gone overboard in sticking to his guns and obstinately refused to give Tan an inch. This explains his reluctance to make changes to the personnel and tactics and his refusal to give Cornelius a full debut.

I don't know if any of this is true and even if some of it is, there could be a whole lot more. But I think its clear to everyone there is an uneasy tension at CCFC at the moment, and sooner or later this lot is gonna blow up big time!

Without actually hearing the stories it's very difficult for the average fan to gauge how bad the situation is, some fans myself probably included can view this as a agenda against Tan.
