Away Fans Pubs

Tue Dec 10, 2013 3:01 pm

Hello there,

My father in law and a group of his fellow baggies are coming to the game on saturday, there will be about eight of them in colours and a good bunch. Anyone know of good pubs for mixed/away fans so we can have a few beers before the game. Canton would be good if there are any. I have been to west brom away before and they have a pub called the vine which is a cracking place for both sets of fans - surely we must have somehwere as well?!

Cheers

Their best bet would be the city centre, plenty of choice for food and drink then just get a taxi to the ground.

The great western (weatherspoons) by the station seems to attract a mix of away fans and home, mostley wearing colours and no bother, cheap beer and food if they want it and then get a cab down to the game.
Canton is never a good place for away supporters. And some pubs in town like the Borough wont accept away fans.

Thanks for the replies. I think we'll go for the west gate then, he's been there a few times and likes it.

Yup the vine does the best tikka kebabs in a naan
Known to man. One of the best mixed fan pubs I have been too as well, worth remembering if your going up there for the away game.

I drink in the Canton hotel on Llandaff rd, don't get it confused with the canton cross, had a few away fans this season no hassle

Gol centre is safe, good atmosphere and only 5-10 mins walk from the ground. Often there are away fans in there.

Can park there for a fiver and get a voucher for the fiver back off your bar bill.

Might be a bit tight in the car park as part of it is closed off for work to be done at the moment, but you can also park at Fitzalan School, or canton rugby club which is also a decent option.

I'd say mostly anywhere in the City Center would be ok, wont find trouble unless your looking for it.

I wont suggest Canton too them.

Have a good day all! :ayatollah:
