In the article the author wonders whether there is any remnant of support for CCFC left there in Tashkent. I would guess that there is still some as I was there in 1989 and the locals asked whether I was from England. I told them definitely not and that I was from Wales. They had never heard of the place, but when I mentioned Cardiff they beamed and said Cardiff City beat Moscow Torpedo and we hate the Russians and love Cardiff City.
