" The sickness bug in the camp "

Mon Dec 09, 2013 3:22 pm

I know 100% one of the starting line up fell ill Friday night. I didn't hear about the others but what Annis said here is the same as what I've heard today. Why didn't Malky change the side you say? The team is picked Friday morning and if the effects of the illnesses didn't register until Saturday afternoon what the f**k is he supposed to do?

Anyway, if the symptoms weren't worthy of a visit to the hospital and his trusted players have given him the thumbs up(this is the premier league, you're not going to get a player phone in sick because he's got the shits) then there would surely be a mutual acceptance between player/manager

I'm not saying we would have got anything from Selhurst Park but there is plenty of truth in Annis'post. It was our worst result of the season. There were factors surrounding it and it'll be put right Saturday

if correct the first thing id question is wtf were they eating?? the club should be in controll of the food they eat, especially when playing away

Not a clue Paul and the one player who I knew fell ill (I won't name him obviously)I wasn't aware it was food poisoning, but what's come out since seems to be adding up

So I guess we don't have a 25 man squad like every other team then. :ayatollah:

We do, but as I've tried to explain put yourself in the position of one of the players who gets ill but not life threatening or even worthy of a hospital visit. You might not feel 100% but you've already been chosen in the side and you'll be desperate to play. These are determined professional footballers who have so far done Cardiff City proud. Conceding an early goal wasnt in the plan and things went downhill from there

Malky will prove you all wrong again, just like he's done over and over

So it was a sickness bug then.

The team has been moving about a lot with the 2 away games, they didnt come back to Cardiff im sure they moved from Stoke to London in small distances and stayed at a few different places.

These things happen and im hoping that this is the case as it goes some way to explain the shoddy performance.

I put a little bet on with myself that you'd turn up with your one-eyed bollocks

You're trolling more than Roathie Watkins lately Craig. Those 6 wins wrapped up our first championship win in our history and have also got us above several established premier league clubs. If we were rock bottom with single figure points then your anti Malky posts on every f*cking thread would be justified, but win Saturday and we're on a very respectable 17 points with two home games left this year. Fear not though, when you're proved wrong you won't be the first on this forum

I can guarantee you if Malky changes his style of play and we survive i would be the first to eat humble pie. I have backed him right up until palace where i now think enough is enough. He will get my support throughout every 90mins he is still our manager.

I do wonder though, if this continues and we get relegated with a whimper, what your thoughts would be?

PS) look up the definition of trolling please. What I am doing is not that. Not sure what irritates you about me posting my opinion on Malky on Malky threads.

Crystal Palace was our worst performance of the season. Stoke wasnt much better. It was a bad week. You and the others who think we should be at least mid table now whilst keeping the same performance levels every game are for the want of a better word, very f*cking naive

I've never mentioned mid table , all I want Is some football to entertain me but we are getting none as customers how does this make me naive. Malkys football could put a glass eye to sleep at times. :ayatollah:

The money spent this season might seem high but it was necessary just yo get us premiership standards not mid table standard.

I will back malky until someone better is lined.up. I will always go with improvement of players so improvement of manager has to be the same.

I think he has until Newcastle to get us going again. But I don't know of a better manager to take over.

Malky will do the business!

Are half the posters on this forum aware of a phenomenon in football called form? Did all these critics just think we were going to play like we did against Man City all season long?

Malky got us promoted with a bunch of players who have never proved themself above Championship level. He has for large parts of this young season made them step up to a higher level. He has added a few top quality players over the summer and improved us massively. He will carry on making us better.

I always thought we'd lose Palace away this year. We will beat them at home. They will go down. And if we keep Malky, we will stay up.

Craig all I've seen every day lately is you hijacking someone's opinion who still believes we'll survive comfortably in this division. We get it, you want to sack Malky, but there are Cardiff fans out there who know there are plenty of issues that need addressing but want to show the same determination and attitude that he's shown us the last two years. Real Cardiff who deserve the same respect you think you command with your opinions. You'll probably get your wish soon anyway. I'll be very surprised if he lasts until January

and I wasn't trying to intimidate. Not sure where you got that from

I don't believe I have hijacked anybodies opinion. I have asked numerous times if people are happy with how we play and if they think Malky will change his style as its just not working at the moment. Most the threads on here are asking whether Malky is the right man for the job. Just because I answer no doesnt mean im less of a fan than the next man. I would love Malky to prove me wrong, i really would as I think he's a top bloke and a real character..........i also think he is very stubborn and i cant see us surviving like this. As i said above, id be the first to eat humble pie if he proves me wrong.

These things happen and im hoping that this is the case as it goes some way to explain the shoddy performance.

I guess we didn't have the bug vs the teams we beat then or is it just the teams around us we play shit against and sit back yet only have a go vs the bigger teams

:ayatollah:

Swansea play some attractive football. Perhaps it's time for some of our impatient plastics to phone down there for some tickets

Why is someone who doesnt have your opinion a plastic?

I didn't say that. "Fans"who constantly refer to being"customers"aren't doing themselves any favours. Personally I've never demanded anything from Cardiff City. Your club is your club through thick and thin - and I've seen plenty of both

The team has been moving about a lot with the 2 away games, they didnt come back to Cardiff im sure they moved from Stoke to London in small distances and stayed at a few different places.

Well said. We lost away to palace last year but in the grand scheme of things that didnt work out too shabby eh!

Yeah, I was at that game last year and we were poor then too. Went two nil up then chucked it. We will definitely bounce back. The good thing about the Malky era is that slumps don't last long. I think our next few fixtures are just what we need.

If there was a bug and the players were ill.....our manager needs to be a bit more up front with the paying traveling fans. :old:
