' Cardiff's need for Bellamy '
Craig Bellamy was not even on the bench as Cardiff City faced Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Yet Bellamy had, apparently, overcome the hamstring injury which had kept him out since the loss at Aston Villa in early November.
So why did Malky Mackay take the Welshman to London and exclude him from his squad?
Talk in the press room after the match was that Bellamy had refused to get off the coach with his team-mates prior to the game.
But Mackay, generally a straightforward manager who offers honest replies to the press pack, said there was no such drama.
It's odd, though, because Cardiff have been in desperate need of proven striker lately and Bellamy was specifically rested in the 0-0 midweek draw with Stoke to spare him for the match at Selhurst Park. Cardiff's display against Palace was a prime example of their shortcomings up front and Andreas Cornelius, who came on as a sub, may prove to be £7.7m wasted. The Dane is considered a talented young striker, the proverbial 'one for the future', but that is not what Cardiff need this season. Survival in the Premier League can rest on having experienced goal-scorers in the matchday squad. Bellamy can't come back into the fold soon enough. Jonny Weeks

he may be 34 but hes still by far the best striker we have. if fkin malky played him where he could do more damage up front
makes me angry
we have maynard, mason, bellamy, cornelius, noone, conway, and others who could really really do a job I actually think i want malky out.
new manager in every single player back off loan and a re-shuffle from a neutral thinking manager willing to give everyone a chance

If he had upset Tan Malky would have put him straight in the team just to piss Tan off!
Perhaps the question should be whether Bellamy has upset Malky?

If,bellamy did refuse to get off the bus as reported,my main worry would be why? Perhaps he was pissed at malkys selection and tactics.I do believe if he was fit, that palace was a game where he was needed?? Lets hope there is no truth in it and him and malky are ok.A bust up on the coach could well explain the performance, just as plausible as the sickness roumour?? Bellers has never been shy to voice his opinion!!

Pi want Malky out, but if Bellamy refused to get off the coach he should go too, he's a player not a chief exec.

He may have some part to play this season but up to now Bellamy has been shocking in an attacking role IMO.
Much rather see Noone given his chance.

If I was bellamy I would be livid that son of malky is ponying around, no wonder were getting stuffed, its like watching scotland at times

bellamy was all about pace. he can't beat a man anymore. why do people think he should be an automatic starter? did people care when cowie played against man utd and played superb helping out all over the field. what about his role v swansea. i don't think cowie should start every game but he certainly hasn't done anything wrong. my opinion is that bellamy hasn't got a lot to offer anymore......id like him to play occasionally.

This story is utter bullshit if there is no story, make one up, because Bellamy was not straight off the bus then there must be something wrong, why do you people believe the papers, absolute crap

I did not say I believed the story, hence the "IF" at the beginning of my post.
