5 games to keep his job???

Mon Dec 09, 2013 9:57 am

Big Month coming up. I think Malky has about 10 days of the transfer window. if we are in the bottom 3 he will go and another manager will have 3 weeks to bring in players.

Do you think Malky will have cash to spend? Or is VT going to give him a month to get the team playing.

I think if we are performing, and gain 2 wins and a draw in our next 5 games he will be safe. We have 3 home games in the next 5.

WBA and Sunderland are both vital wins for me or he will be gone.

Would you give Malky £20 million now??? Five games to turn things around? Five games to actually "change" things??

What good players out there would want to play in a Malky Mackay style & team?

I don't think he will get any cash if he's not won at wba and sunderland, or picked up 2 wins elsewhere.

If after 5 games we don't grap a certain amount of points he will be sacked.

New boss in for the fa cup game, and 3 weeks of transfer window.

We have 2 games we are expected to lose and 3 where we should pick up points, esp at home

Lose to WBA and he should be replaced IMO.

Then Tan can happily change it if he wants to. I don't see what changing the manager is going to do? We're currently safe, which is what is required in the first season. This is what I don't get. What more do you want?

we arent currently safe though are we as the season doesnt end now! and we are playing the worst football in the league at present.

But if we stay where we are, we'd be safe correct?

it is probably true though, i know that 17th is our aim at the end of the season and we are on course for this. But i truely believe that VT will not allow Malky to have a poor 5 games in the next 30 days. We need a win badly at the moment, the form could spiral. Xmas could make or break us for me.

At the start of the season I predicted we would have 8 points so far and we already have 14 which has surprised me.

Next 8 home games :- WBA, Southampton, Sunderland, West Ham, Norwich, Villa, Hull, Fulham
Next 7 away games :- Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Swansea, Spurs, Everton

Realistically we are very unlikely to pick up many if any points away from home in that spell and it will be our home form over these 8 games that will decide our season. 15 points from them would put us on 29 with 8 games to go and leave us right in the relegation battle. 20 points would put us on 34 and we would almost be safe.

We need to recreate the sort of form we had at home at the beginning of last season and we could realistically do it against those 8 teams. It is definitely the time for Malky to prove he can do it in the premiership.

I don't see us getting more than 1 draw away from home in those fixtures. That's with or without malky. The defeats away need to be competitive. Thrashing could spell the end confidence wise.

Can see us getting 10 points from all those fixtures. 3 wins and a draw
