6 wins from 28 games is shocking stats!

Sun Dec 08, 2013 9:22 pm

I know Malky has been great and got us promoted, but after seeing these stats and the dire performances over the last couple of games is it time to bring in a replacement before it is too late? Saints did it last year and I bet you won't hear any complaints from their supporters now and Nigel Adkins got them promoted from the 1st division. I just don't think our manager is getting the best out of our squad, but that is my opinion.

Malky should have done more to bring in some creativity out wide. He spent a lot of time going for Ince and it didnt work out, fair enough, but someone else should have come in.

Some on here have said about giving Kadeem Harris a go. I must admit to feeling disappointed he didn't come off from the bench at the West Ham league cup game - I think that was a missed opportunity - especially has he was banging in the goals for the development team. He's doing well at Brentford though. The one thing that worries me is that we just don't look like scoring many goals this season from open play and that will get us relegated if we don't sort that problem soon. I love what Malky's done for the club so far, but are his defensive tactics going to be good enough to keep us up? Apart from a good defence which is crucial and I think defensively we're pretty sound, but we need goals and I think Frazier is just not getting the service he deserves. His goal against Man United was brilliant and that is what we should be looking to do, getting the ball just in front of Frazier. He will score a lot of goals if he gets that type of service and players like Whitt's should be capable of making those type of through passes, but again it comes down to the manager with his team selection and tactics. We also need pace and Noone gives us something different and is willing to shoot from distance as well - something I'm not seeing us do too often. Mutch was an example of this with our winner at Fulham. Just saying!

regardless if harris would be good enough long term to play in the prem, the one thing he would give you, something we are getting from declan john at the moment is his youth. He wouldnt be weighed down with months of negativity and would be itching to"have a go" we are crying out for something like that in the side. The players look like they have shackles on and are scared to try anything.

I agree on Declan John, he looks very comfortable on the ball as well. Regarding the shackles on, once again I can't argue against that point, as it looks very much that they are frightened to make mistakes, but because they're frightened to make the mistakes - you tend to make them more. Perhaps that's why the team don't try too many shots out  side the box - just in case they miss!

at home its been ok.....played 7 very tough games, 2 wins and 2 draws..lost to Newcastle { 7th } Spurs { 8th } Arsenal { top }.. beat 10th and 4th..drew with 9th and 5th...
away..dreadful.. havent even scored in 7 hours.. last goal Mutch against Chelsea 19th october.
everyone says home form is crucial , but you need a few wins away too thinks me,only we have already played most of the teams we were likely to beat without firing a shot in anger. managers stand or fall by results......if 1 win in 9 becomes 1 in 10 or 1 in 11, i dont see how he can hang on,so the next few games will dictate if he stays.
