That's 4 hard away trips now in January , long journeys aswell .
I think it will be the development team for the cup this year , let's get out of it early premier league survival is much more important :ayatollah:

Can't think of many worse teams we could have got.

Would have loved a lower league away day.

I bet you F.A cup match we'll have endless chances or score a few goals here.

it will be living proof that the only reason we are so shit away is malky wont take a risk

your not even worth the time replying to properly if you think risking our allready over stretched squad is a good idea in the cup away to newcastle, 3 days after a trip to the emirates and before a huge game against west ham when we are in a relegation fight . We also then have the prospect of both Manchester clubs in the same week just after . f**k the cup this year is about consolidating our place in the top flight end of story !

I love the fact I'm still a plastic after 25 years as a season ticket holder , when do I upgrade to being a proper fan because I want to organise a celebration party for my graduation ?

Decent draw. Winnable game, hope malky fields a strong team and takes the reigns off our players.. Tells them to go out and win the game. No pressure.

Have to agree Annis, went to Accrington and West Ham in the League cup, but went there with hope and optimism but going up to Newcastle will be demoralising with our current form and performances.
After Palace even Llwyd asked why were we not playing to our strengths using width, pace and then giving FC/AC the opportunity to use the extra space and time that they will both have to give the opposition central defence problems.
I have said for a long time and always will, we are at our best when we defend from the front, the best form of defence is offence getting in and at them.

It might have been worth going to, if you didn't need binoculars to see the football!

Nice stadium, shit experience for away fans!
