Time for Malky !

Sun Dec 08, 2013 10:54 am

Not an anti - Malky post by any means , success for me this season would be us in the PL come the end of May with Malky at the helm & a significant shift in a major part of his game-plan - the attacking options /strategies !

We're all great fantasy footy managers but many fans on here have advocated ( since last summer) quality widemen who can hit the bye-line & provide decent crosses for a proven PL goalscorer who can hold the ball and bring support players effectively into the game !

Personally , I think Malky is seeing the game through the eyes of the international defender he once was , the best buys to date have been KTC, SC & Medel , all defenders or defensively-minded with in KTCs case , strong attacking instincts !

PO has failed to fire ( in terms of goal scoring ) yet he is the proven goalscorer I advocated above , AC hasn't had the chance !

The question I pose is , would MM , still learning the ropes under high-pressure , benefit from a DoF ( or woteva title ! ) to advise/guide him -who is astute enough / respected enough to offer attacking nous hence combining MM s current defensive 'strength' with a specialist attacking knowledge !

I do think MM is somewhat limited in his match day thinking at the mo but I also feel he has the potential to become one of our great managers - given the time !

I don't hold the same potential opinion of Malky than others.

The morality of it all is that as he took us up he should be given the chance. However sentiment does not come into it, Malky said that about players during the summer, and personally I think we are going to see that in action before Christmas.
