Whitts needs to be rested for Kim in central role

Sun Dec 08, 2013 8:59 am

Kimbo and Mutch did so well last season in the middle of the park.

Marshall
Catherine Caulker Hudson Taylor
Noone Mutch Kim Bellers
Cornelius Campbell

Could even try Pitbull in middle of defence instead of Turner

Marshall
Catherine Medel Caulker Taylor
Nonne Mutch Kim Bellamy
Cornelius Campbell

Quite like the look of this side. Got to play 2 up front and go for it!!

Good idea, the smallest person in the squad playing in one of those positions where you need height.

He does excellent with Chile in that position.

No point in playing good players in our midfield as Turner spends all day twatting it over their heads to our tiny striker up front.

We would see an instant improvement in ball retention if Turner was rested.

Whittingham def needs a rest, a long one, totally gone missing as usual when the going gets tough.

Gunnar, in my opinion, is not good enough at keeping possession.

Got it!!
Our best line up, given that Bellamy is unfit/ past it, is as follows

Marshall
Catherine Medel Caulker Taylor
Kim
Noone Mutch. odewhinge
Campbell Cornelius

This is about Malky's mentality not individual players..

You can't play kimbo in a flat midfield Central role he gets bullied by full back when out wide .in the midfield battles of some of the midfielders in this league He would be squashed  , he needs the free role in front of the midfield in the number 10 role where he can find space and show off his range of passing .
Putting him behind the midfield is stupid aswell , not only are you restricting one of your most creative players to 5 yard passes but can you honestly see him getting in the way of marauding midfielders like yaya toure , Gerrard and lampard when they burst through the midfield like medel does :?:

Better would be...

MARSHALL

KTC
CAULKER
HUDSON
JOHN

MUTCH
MEDEL
GUNNARSSON

NOONE
KIMBO
CAMPBELL/CORNELIUS

when we haven't got the ball at least 7 players defending.
However when we are attacking, at least 7 players defending.
MM has just cum in his pants.

My view is that with Medel in back four, and Kim sat in front, there's an increased probability of keeping possession.......just as Chile did against England :-)

Gunnar has very little 360 awareness when the ball is played into him.

Hoof ball would be a thing of the past as Caulker rarely knocks a long hopeful ball!

Patient build up could lead to threading the ball down the sides for odemwinge and noone to deliver into the mixer. Cornelius will have a field day. Watch him on you tube and you'll see that that many of his goals are from crosses. Very little down the middle!
