OPINIONS OPINIONS OPINIONS

First of all, a list of adjectives to describe today’s ‘performance’:

Awful, dire, dreadful, dismaying, grim, hideous, horrible, horrid, shocking, terrible, abominable, appalling, atrocious, deplorable, depressing, horrendous, stinking, annoying, calamitous, woeful.

I released enough swear words for a month watching that shower today, so that’s enough ... I’ve got my disappointment off my chest.

What can be done about it? Everyone is entitled to opinions & I’m sure there’ll be various along the spectrum on here, from ‘sack Malky tonight’ to ‘Whitts is the best thing since sliced bread.’

I can only go by what I’ve seen so far this season, so for what it’s worth, here’s my view:
1) Drop Turner & replace him with Medel. If he can do the job for Chile, he can do it for us. That should stop some of the hoofball and allow a more forward thinking player in midfield.
2) Buy two players (at least!) in January:
a) A natural winger who can go past players ... our lack of pace out wide today was (pick any of the above adjectives or add your own). Maybe Harris coming back in Jan would be like a third new player. He needs his chance in my opinion.
b) A box to box midfield player whose instinct is to take the ball forward. One of the more frustrating aspects about today was the constant backwards movement and lack of creative thinking. This would allow Whitts or Mutch to play further up the pitch.
3) Play Kimbo in the hole just behind Campbell or Cornelius. We need his positivity & quick thinking.
4) Jury’s out on Malky. I like his passion, what he’s already achieved and appreciate all he’s done behind the scenes at the club, but does he have the ability to keep us in the promised land?

Tan needs to publicly back Malky or sack him because I believe the uncertainty over his future is affecting the players.

Malkys philosophy is about 100% commitment to the cause, I think a few are doubting the cause.
