Well, the people of the UK are not buying it, David. Your name is now irrevocably synonymous with lies and hypocrisy and you have cemented the end of your political career by revealing to the populace what most of us knew to be true anyway.

No one with any shred of sense at all will ever believe anything that comes out of your mouth except the blind, stalwart Conservatives that would quite simply believe anything that you told them regardless.

We now live in a globalised world and have a new p.c. religion together with a brainwashing system which moves us on a wee bit from where we were a few years ago.
British heroes generally get a mention in the obituary columns of the Telegraph but not anywhere else and certainly not on the BBC.
Mandela?- give him credit he probably did stop an out and out race/civil war in SA but it was actually Botha who let him out at the behest of the US as with the cold war ending their backing was being withdrawn and the game was up.He's an obvious posterboy for multi-culti.

Harry Patch didnt want any sort of memorial, when it was asked whether the last veteran should have a state funeral he objected to the idea and didnt want one, he didnt want any media coverage he did very few interviews he never discussed the war. So instead of having a go at the country for ignoring him, praise it for respecting one mans wishes and not making an old mans last years of his life a misery by forcing him to relive the war for our amusement.

He admitted 156 counts of public violence, including a sustained bombing campaign which killed hundreds of black and whites.

His wife was nice to. She went to prison for murdering a 12 year old.

It wasn't Botha, it was FW de Klerk who released Mandela. Botha was a horrible knut who left his presidency after suffering a stroke. On picking up the baton, de Klerk lifted the ban on ANC and positioned for a multi racial South Africa. It was he who called for and held a white only referendum which revealed a majority in favour of ending apartheit.

He needed Mandela's help.....leading to the paradox of him pleading with Mandela in prison for his support and the realisation that the power had switched to the man who was locked up!

In fairness, Mandela MADE the end of apartheit.........but in fairness, a very brave de Klerk ALLOWED it to happen.

And credit to him for that.
