Victoria is better ;)

Did it 2 years ago (got off at Norwood) and it cost around £20 Return

When I lived in London I got a return to Battersea park (£1.80) but got the train from Victoria to East Croydon then Thornton heath. Never been asked to show my ticket and the turnstyles were always open. I'm in no way advising anyone to break the law.

London Bridge for me. Few pints in Barrowboy and Banker and 12 mins overground to Norwood Junction. 5 min walk from there.

Usually plenty of other clubs fans in there for chat / banter.

Borough / London Bridge is best area of London. Knocks everywhere else into a cocked hat.

I priced up tickets etc.etc. (more for Buckley this if he is traveling up from S Wales)...

If you have a one day travel card then this also covers the trip from Victoria to Thornton Heath as well as all your tube(Thornton Heath is zone 4)...even though it is national rail as Thornton Heath is still within the London zones.

So, if you get off at Paddington just get a zone 1-4 travel card for the day and that will cover you....don't go paying again for a ticket from Victoria to Thornton Heath as well as tube. The travel card should cost £8.00.

Same applies if you have an Oystercard, covers you for the tube and the trip from Victoria to Thornton Heath
