Aparently he has said players should come off for 15 minutes if they are given a yellow card.
Opinions?

I think it's fair, football can learn a lot from other sports but the old men in charge are too stuck in their ways, i mean they didn't even want goal line technology

I get the idea that it should be the team you play that gets the benefit of a yellow card rather than one in five games but it seems a bit ham fisted.
They give out far too many yellow cards to make it workable and it'll completely spoil the flow of the game.
And what do you do if your keeper's booked?

Think it was originally an Ice Hockey rule. The egg-chasers got it from there.
Personally, happy with things as they are. Is Patini running for office, or after Sepp's job?

I suspect that if the sin bin comes into football, it won't replace the yellow card, but will certainly become the punishment for certain kinds of fouls that currently get given Yellows.
Personally, I'm all for the sin bin. Just like I'm all for video technology.

A ridiculous idea. Can you imagine a 22 man skirmish with the majority of the 22 players pushing and shoving in the skirmish getting punished, leaving 6 players on one team and 4 players on the other team? Imagine how tedious football could become if we go down this route!

Stupid idea, imagine the ref wrongly give a yellow and the opposition scored in this period - Refs already ruin games with bad decisions please do not give them anymore tools to ruin a game.

wow, this guy is a loone, all his ideas are f*cking loopy, he seems to prefer other sports

Agreed, making an impossible job even more difficult.

I don't watch rugby (unless forced lol) but do they have someone watch it on television before a yellow card?

Yes a video ref, also called TMO I think.

There's a big difference between rugby and football though. Refs in rugby always make correct decisions, refs in football rarely make it through a whole game without making one bad decision.
